People will ask for your class and a few other specifics to help guide you.
As a general rule for me, I’d rather get my character’s survivability up as soon as possible. Dead character (DPS/Support) is of no use.
Attributes are comfortably left at Lv25 initially, then Lv50 later on unless it’s something that’s auxiliary to a skill (like Blessing: Additional Damage) until you have extra dough to throw around. Don’t hyper focus on getting the [luxury] accessories you mentioned but do strive for them later on.
Don’t overdo it with weapons either, not until you’re seeing just 1s hitting you. Then go overboard on your weapons.
Then again, this advise is for a soloist, coming from a soloist. If you have friends/consistent party/guildmates to go with, you’ll have more options open to you.
