why not hl2 barb2? Doppel slash skills surely benefit from cleave debuff, right?

I don’t think there is a reason to go pelta-corsair unless you want to PvP. Or if you’re going shield fencer, in this case you lose 9% damage from rapier mastery: aggression attribute and you’ll have to switch weapon to execute dust devil. Stats you suggested are pretty much standard. I’d just switch peltasta and Corsair in this build for hl2 or barb2.

Some interesting stuff from:

Corsair:

  • DWA adds 80% more AA damage, and gives you a much bigger hitbox.
  • New skill looks good honestly, 311%x3 base damage up to 460%x3 with 4 OHs, and like I though, it’s not “single target”, it just have a base AoE ratio of 0, you can still hit 2 medium enemies with the natural AoE ratio from Swordsman (which is 4). Pretty good.

Shinobi:

  • Clones still get attribute bonus (wow really?) and CD is 45 secs, but increases by 2 for each clone you create (55 secs at maximum clones?)
  • Mijin no Jutsu is insane now, base damage is over 2600%, and it’s copied by your clones! They will vanish after use though, so use it after your usual clone rotation.
  • The new Kunai attribute was translated wrong, it deals double hits (essentially double damage) if it crits. I wonder if the second hit crits, it will deal another hit, and if that one crits, an additional one… and another one and another one… Just kidding, probably not.

(30+(5*skilllvl))%, so lvl 1 35%, lvl 5 = 55%, lvl 10 = 80%…

Actually, I’m wrong, I was assuming max level 15 but it’s max level 10, so it’s 45%, not 50%, but…
Isn’t your formula wrong? You’re doing 5*SkillLVL instead of 5+SkillLVL
(30+(5+ SkillLVL))%
So
LVL10:
(30+(5+10))% = 45%

If the formula is wrong in the patch notes, then DWA is also much much better than I was initially thinking

Btw don’t make 1handed-sword based builds, swords have 1 less potential for unknown reasons and low atk. One handed spears have almost as much as two handed weapons.

It’s true, but i don’t wanna pick hoplite 1 just for weapon attribute, Finestra is bad if u r not with shield.

Still, at least rapier has the aggression bonus with fencer, 1handed normal swords are a meme.

Guaranteed crit on mordschlag against cloth attribute enemies is not working for clones so can assume the same for others.
Wish IMC give better equipment to test, clone damage is pretty bad now… At least for murmillo builds i don’t think shinobi is a must for pve.

I though about rapier too, but it’s not applies to basic attacks. :frowning: So i went for this build for now FDEXDWACorsair.

Update: I wish attribute allowing equip weapon were able to learn from swordsman master at different rank.
For example:
Rank 2: 2h sword;
Rank 3: 1h spear;
Rank 4: 2h spear;
Rank 6: Rapier.

Update2: Actually i think i will change to this build FDEXDWADragoonsair.

DWA duration is 5 minutes now, and it adds % damage to basic attacks according to the skill level, up to 80% at level 10, it also increases your basic attack hitbox (including daggers and pistols) by quite a bit:
Basic Attacks:
Range: + 30%
Width: + 30%
Dagger Attacks:
Range: + 40%
Width: + 50%
Pistol Attacks:
Range: + 60%
Width: + 50%

No more double key press? impressive.

@SpardaTheDevil a full auto build will never work, it makes no sense to even try, still a good filler for damage.
I know that aggression doesnt apply to basic attacks, but you can fencer 1->shinobi like this https://tos.neet.tv/skill-planner#11113888ed to get rapiers, an extra shino attack and some skills to fill your bar.

Also, remember that matador2 got reworked in korea and has this -> https://tos-kr.neet.tv/attributes/118011 so you can go mata2 instead of doppel2 too for +20% damage on skills.

We’ll see.

I would still get Hoplite in this upcoming patch, spears are very good and you can just leave Finestra at 3 to get AoE Ratio attribute and some crit rate with minimal evasion loss.
I’m having another idea to use spears+Shinobi which is to pick Barb1 at r4 then Dragoon1 at r9, Dragon Soar have 3OH with okay damage and Dragon Tooth have 10% extra critical damage, and both are copiable skills.

@GadenRhoss You still have to press the sub-weapon key to connect the attacks, but both of your basic attacks (basic main weapon attack and basic sub-weapon attack) have 80% more damage.
As a Shinobi-less build, I’d go for corsair3>matador2 too.

I already have sw3/hl2/dop3/sh and sw3/hl3/sh/barb2 for piano playing. Corsair is only AA char. :blush:
