Building a Spear Throw Spam Hoplite?

I’m planning to build a Sw>Pel>Hop3>?>?>? for soloing dungeon for silver. I don’t plan on building a Scout btw.

I’m still kinda inexperienced with the swordsman build and this is my first time trying to build a solo dungeon character, so forgive me if I made some mistakes. This is my skill build : http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/7bmwbu11hz/

I haven’t decided on what to take for rank 6-8 but I’ll probably be aiming Dopp>Dragoon2. I’m also focusing on PvE only if I do intend to get far with this character.

I’m unsure about the stat build as well but I was wondering if 5 DEX : 3 STR : 2 CON is viable or maybe 6 DEX : 4 CON. (I like to have like a 10 points ratio) Based on my readings, I should focus all of my points on DEX after achieving a certain number of STR and CON? I was thinking of the 2nd one for a balance of def and evading physical atk plus crit rate for Spear Throw in order to dungeon solo. I am unsure if I’ll be able to get my hands on a Sissel Bracelet though to help increase crit rate even further. Does STR matter a lot to help with skill dmg or am I just better off enhancing attributes for this and upgrading my spear?

Would this build’s equipment be expensive to make in order to solo dungeons since I don’t have access to very expensive equipment like Sissel Bracelet and Lv.10 cards? Would I be able to start soloing the 145 dungeon or the least 130 dungeon after reaching Lv. 170+ and getting my hands on Roxona plate gears (or other high def plate gears) and Geras Spear?

Thank you!

For farming, just use hi def gear and geras then spam throw spear…
Be carefull of mage when u got no mdef, or just use didel tower shield and superior korvos and hi mdef acc to boost mdef…

If u can get to dragoon2, dethrone really helps clearing much faster…

1 run at 145 is around 17-22m, depends on ur equipment, attribute and rank…

Ahh, that works. What are your opinions on my stat builds? 5 Dex : 3 Str : 2 Con or 6 Dex : 4 Con?

For PvE, go low STR. You want high DEX for crit (dethrone with vubbe + finestra gives you a high AoE which helps clearing very fast). High evasion will also help you in many ways.

If you plan on playing till rank 8 then you would need a high dex investment for dethrone.
If just for farming 145 dungeon then a high str build is better.
Swap from a full str to a no str high dex build my spear throw damage went down by almost half. You dont really need any con.

I wouldnt put any point into pierce as a hop3, its irrelevant once you have spear throw. Probably would dump points into spear lunge.

I have a r6 hoplite that’s built around spamming spear throw, I’d say if you plan to solo any dung, you want to put most points on dex and enough con to hit 15k+ hp, you need some hp because mage types will hurt you. My spear throw is at 80% att and I’m equipped with geras, dbl glad bands, max peta, rokas leather top, for bot Roxana pants and boots, also roxona gloves with 2 6* crit atk gems. I’m planning to replace the roxona with virtov leather once I hit 220 and my acc gears all got crit atk/phys atk.
Once you get spear throw, you cap it and you can start soloing 130-175 dg but its preferred with a pt for the 600% exp bonus. My main rotation is spear lunge->stabbing->spear lunge->spear throw against bosses, and just spam spear throw to clear mobs. Oh right, you can also stick with vubbe fighter gloves if you want to + your aoe but I stuck with rox gloves cuz of the crit atk+. Ever since I started playing a spear throw build hoplite, I find myself always just using spear throw… It’s so strong vs leather, if you debuff with lunge you do 16k x 3. For a measly cost of 37 SP its pretty good. But you’d want to use stabbing along with lunge for sp efficiency when you’re bossing. Right now I built the char with mostly dex, some con, and now I’m adding str until I hit 200. I will probably add a little bit more con to hit that 20k hp sweet spot and keep pumping dex again or maybe str. As for cards I am using 3 or was it 4 ellaganos 10* for some extra dex. My main buff skills are Guardian lv3 and finestra 15 (they both have 75s duration), also I don’t have the finestra splash buff since it doubles the amount of eva you lose. I will have to see where I’m gonna take this build since its really fun at the moment.

but additional points into spear lunge won’t do anything
pierce makes more damage.
with the red gem buff going higher on dex might be better.

Ohh, you’re wearing leather and cloth type equips? Did you level up your leather armor attribute or both leather and cloth?

From what I read, you had crit atk in your equips and gems but how about crit rate? Is it not necessary because of the amount of DEX you invested + Finestra? I thought one must need 500+ crit rate to crit most of the time? Unless I’m wrong with that.

Hopefully I’ll get my hands on a battle bracelet on this event. XD

Also thank you all for your insights! :>

Because this char is devoted to pve I only use leather gears and maxed the attribute for some eva, it does go well with guardian.
Because of my build and the cards I am sitting on 402 base crit rate + the 150 from finestra, but since im still around 198, im criting at 75% chance, 95% if I buff. As for crit atk, its around 850-ish? will hit 900 once I hit 220 for the virtov leather boots. Because of the update on gems I will probably drop the crit gem on my ledas and switch it with a 6* red gem for more phys atk. This way I can just keep pumping dex and stop adding anymore to str. Oh right the attributes on my hair1-2-3 have all been tripled thanks to the update hence why I think I’ll only add dex and some con from now on.

On a side note I seldom see myself doing white dmg, and I barely normal attack since I’m pretty much just using spear throw to do everything for me so my crit rate for my level vs stuff around my lvl is probably still 90%-100%
It will likely change as I take on maps around 240+ but I only ever just do quests and don’t bother with grinding to lvl.

i keep wondering all the time,

why people keep making toons to farm silver, yet they need to invest a lot for it?

i mean, why spend if you want to earn? you can make a char without spending much that can farm silvers in 145dg with minimal expense.

because farming 145 in 15 minutes is easier, and less devastating than farming it in 35-40 minutes. That was exactly my thinking for my scout, to keep expenses at 0 and not invest at anything. Then i started 145 soloing 30-35 minutes each run, consumed too much time that i simply did not want to do it, so i invested in a high attributed split arrow and a stronger bow, and ever since i’ve been doing it every day
this is the same for a spear throw hoplite (i do have a hoplite 3 build, great for 145 but require some magic resistance gear)
tl:dr - because it consume less time and make it more efficient. Believe me you are not going to solo 145 every day taking 30-35 min a run.

oh wait, how did my level 176 scout3 with +5 khasti and 60attribute split shot clear it within 20-22mins?

if im using npc gears it takes around 25-26mins too. you must be doing something different while clearing.

also, 60 attribute of split shot money came almost from main quest silvers, costs around 3mil i think. but i get like 2.5mil during my leveling time. so i spend less than you could imagine.

my scout is finishing it now in 17 minutes btw. But thats only after i raised my attribute to 65% and got a +13 superior wreech bow double transcended.
Anyway this is a hoplite thread and not a scout thread.

i do understand this is a hoppy trend. but my question is clear as per OT. making a char and spending a lot if silvers just to farm silver? doesn’t feel just right.

means you are above level 220, probably R7 too, and with a +13 sup. wreech bow x2 transcend. do you understand how much you spent for this? again my point is clear, why spend a lot of silver for farming char?

for the OP, if you really want to farm silver there are more alternative ways to do it without spending that much. but if you intend to use this char for future content then that is fine.
