[Build] Wolfy's DievDruid Guide (Revamped on 22-03-17)

And aparently I, as a full int druid wolf, will say goodbye to my windia rod and HELLO BLUNTS WITH MATCK AND ATCK AS MAIN STATUS. My dear Druids c3, is this real? Or am I excited for no reason? we all know how IMC “doens’t” work

Haha, suddenly tampon.

Hallo, kebi. It indeed is too early to fully throw the DEX build away.

I actually have lots of thoughs i’ve wanted to write since the blog was posted but no time because studies and work DX. So here we go

##What makes Lycanthropy strong right now?

  • On the current system, Lycanthropy has a extremely high base damage on all its skills as any other Rank 8 class.

  • And scales up from Magical and Physical attack at the same time!

This allows you to follow an INT build or DEX build, INT will increase your other spells damage and DEX will give you high survability.

Lycan has no enhacement attributes and you are able to adquire it at full power as soon as you max the skill making it the cheapest way to be strong on rank 8 =P.

Now, lets examine the following table on the dev post:

or

https://puu.sh/vbuYE/5b8e5d5df6.png

The second graph is from the KToS blog post covering the same topic.

We can see that the “Skill damage” part on both graphs have totally been removed on the revised skill damage formula. This could affect way too much the strengh we know our Lycanthropy provides.

I will call this the Doubt State #1 : The skill itself.

##Why Lycanthropy and stats matter?

  1. The Cleric tree allows the user to follow Physical or Magical builds, and Druid3 is the perfect combination of both a true hybrid. Carnivory a strong single target dps scales off Magic Attack, while Lycanthropy a strong skill that gives you additional 4 physical skills, knockback inmunity and the ability to dash, making you a scary melee force.

  2. Going INT would boost all your previous circles spells. Going DEX would provide you durability and crit chance on Lycanthropy.

You would usually cover any lacking trait with equipment. INT would require to invest higher on defense, while DEX would require focusing on magic attack weapon. Now lets see the new graph

Points to consider:

  1. Critical rate removed from stats: We dont know what will be the way to adquire and boost this stat for now.

  2. STR: Physical Attack and Accuracy. This skill may be irrevelevant for PvE Druid3, as patt wont boost your other skills and using plate gloves shud be enough to cover for any pve evasion monster.

  3. INT: Magic attack. And thats it, what could make this stat good is the note on bottom “increases vary from class tree to class tree”. I believe the new design is gonna make INT boost Wizards way more than clerics. But it is still open to check for more information.

  4. DEX: Attack Speed, Evasion, Block Penetration, Critical Attack. The ASP stat seems to only affect certain skills, but if it will be able to affect Lycanthropy skills then that wouldnt be so bad, its animations are long and slow. Eva and BlockPen these stats could mean the future of Druid3 PvP is still relying on DEX to boost survability and being able to hit the target.

This is our Doubt State #2 : stats

##Lycan scales from Magic Attack and Physical Attack

So now we can see this detail revealed on the notes that must have made several Druid3 users drool on anticipation.

This concept of duality is applied not only to armor, but to one-handed blunt weapons as well. The attack of these weapons may be lower than that of specialized physical attack one-handed swords or magic attack rods, but they’ll feature both physical and magic attack as main stats, allowing you to boost them via enhancement and transcendence similarly to armor items.

drools

Enhacements will boost our Lycanthropy by double the effectiveness! Also no more need to go Skull Smasher for the Matt as main stat, now EVERY mace will have this duality feature.

Yet, Doubt State #1 still could affect the way these stats benefit us by changing the way Lycan skills calculate the damage.

And with all that spam of thoughs, i will support what @tampon mentioned: It’s still too early. Patience fellow druids and lets stay tuned for more info!

Yes, i also welcome this change.Yet it doesnt improve the fact that monster skills are not useful on a real fight scenario and we get monster usually for the attribute boost and maybe some useful abilities.

Thanks for the offer but I’m Brazilian.I can’t speak spanish. Also,I was typing from my cellphone…Damn auto correct that corrected everything to portuguese.

I decided to go with cleric 3 - priest 2 since I like support.I’ve been enjoying it quite a lot and I think Guardian Saint helps with sp recovery.

Could you explain why Hengestone doesn’t “fully” double?I though it would provide 4x the damage with red since max attack increases both physical and magical and both would add damage to werewolf.I got a red gem lv 7 ready for it too and I’m preparing the second one for my future purple mace.

There was a post testing the interactions of gems while transforming under Hengestone on the Druid Thread a long time ago.

The +max attack stat is applied at the end of the calculation, so you are only doubling your base matt/patt stat then adding the red gem damage after it.

Stuff that gets doubled:

  • Any patk and matk except from collection
  • Blue gems on weapon
  • The min/max from Vienarazis Mace is doubled, for the max part it will take the average of your range.
  • Red gems on offhand (Shield, daggers, etc)
  • HP from CON and flat HP bonus from armor (Virtov, etc)

Stuff that is not doubled:

  • Red gems on weapon
  • Chap cards (To “double” it, just activate it after hengestone + transform)

Dangit…Hasta con bonus is not included then?

  • HP from CON and flat HP bonus from armor (Virtov, etc)

It is included there =P. Im also using a Hasta Plate Armor on my druid.

For some reason I read original Con XD

they will give you skill and stat reset anyway

you can go back to int build later if u need

if dex not provide cri rate anymore, go int and get cri rate gear

From what they’ve said, rank, skill and stat resets will be acquired from an NPC with a limit of once per day during an event. Those resets will only be usable for one day once you have them so at some point you’ll have to settle on a final build. You won’t be able to hang onto them for a couple of weeks to see how things shake out.

I’m sure there’ll be a lot of posts outlining different people’s tests and what the new meta is. It’s just worth keeping in mind that the clock will be ticking.

Hey, returning player here. Are male and female werewolves different ? In looks I mean.

nop, any transformations are the same. ^^

I wonder how would that look =3=~~~~~~~~

If you guys get some concept art ideas i can email it to the developers lol

I actually hope the Druid3 costume will have some different animation/model for the Lycan =P

Thanks for all the information!

wolfy with your currently equips, can you sustain 100% lyncan? If the answer is yes, how can I achiev it? do I have to create side characters for it, like squire (does it have to be C3?)?

@edit also what’s your prefered Transformation? did you pick and druidC3 attribute for it?

ty for the advanced reply

You can see all my equipment on this video:

Squire C3 is not mandatory, but saves a LOT of potions.

Transformation is kind of useless on its current state, i just use it for fun or to save SP. All their attributes are good i guess.

The only Druid C3 attribute is Telepath Crowd Control, which was good until IMC reverted the effect of Telepath and hasnt answer me in 1 month.

Firstly, thanks for the guide! DievDruid was a build that I ever wanted to run since I started playing but never did so and now that I finally came back to play I’m having so much fun with it.

So, I have some questions, mainly about equipment:

  • What are the best case scenarion equips I should aim for?
  • About the SP recovery set, how do you manage it? Should I equip the main stats one before Hengestone>Lycantrophy to keep it’s bonuses and then change to the SP recovery set and keep it equipped? I read something about swapping equips only when recovery strikes, but how do I actually do it? And about Squire3, can I have it on the same account as my druid or should I get it on another account and log in another computer?
  • Finally, while I’m still rank 7, which monster should I transform into (I’m running int build right now)? Preferably something that can make up for flying monsters advantage.

Thanks in advance!

You can wear anything you get or prefer on your way to r8. Warmage set can boost your dps for example.

But once you get to r8 you may want to use plate gloves on INT build so wont miss as much. Also start to work around stats that get doubled by Hengestone.

raw HP or CON is usually desirable on high level armor.

Grynas < Virtov Plate < Lolopanther plate < Hasta Plate (armor or pants) < solmiki plate.

Take note that these armor suggestions are aimed for the current damage formula and may change once that patch arrives.

The squire can easily be on your same account. Camp, Table food and repair shop work stay there when you change character

Sadly i dont think there is any mob that may help on an offensive way right now. Or not efficiently at all. I would recommend you go for a transform that would provide you with defensive stats. (insect, small or large as needed)

Heya Wolf. First of all, thank you for this guide. Second: I’d like to point out collectibles since if you get all of the sp recovery ones, you can stack up 41 SP recovery in total (this is based on tosbase info, could be more).

Haha you got me there. I was working on getting all the sp recovery collections before the combat changes were announced.

This build may need to be revised once that update gets to us. So im keeping it quiet around here.
