[Build-Review] Krivis3 Monk 3

Tad contradictory since INT directly influences Matk, and also Zaibas has INT in the damage formula, meaning that INT influences the damage in 2 ways. I understand you are trying to justify your build, but it comes across as misinformation in an attempt to support a poor decision.

The build actually works really well. I went a similar build Cleric2>Krivis2>Monk3 SPR/CON/DEX I need very little dex/crit rate to crit my targets thanks to Zalciai. enemies crit resist drop -115 and my crit attack +175. I mostly party with swordsman and archers since they get the most benefit from my build.

Gawd your right!! I screwed up there… will need to revise this that part, Its hard Trying to find words to describe the ideas in my head . whill change that

How much SPR did you allocated, the multiplier for SPR in zalciai is .8 so I’m guessing around 40 SPR which is -32 to crit resist + lv15 zalciai (-37) to reduce a boss monster’s crit resist in half

I have a stat reset potion sitting in my box, so I’n not afraid to make any mistakes at stat points for now

I put about 90-100 pts into SPR 50 pts in DEX and dumped the rest in CON.

wow, I think that is really high, If calculations are correct that is more than enough to reduce most boss monsters crit resit to less than half

curious…, why did you put more points in SPR wouldn’t you benefit more with a CON DEX build - High HP and evasion rate?

I could of benefited more with more CON and DEX but i wanted to focus more on the Zalciai debuff, from what i hear you can reduce an enemies crit resistance into the negatives.

I see… That is more effective since the whole party benefits from the Zalciai even with low Crit rate.

Good one b ^^, d

Out of curiosity why did you not take the c2 diev 2 monk 3 path?

I didn’t want to be like every other monk. I just like to try different things to see if it works, and so far so good.

Its the 3rd most popular Monk Build. for me I want to have a build that is unique and personaly belongs to me,

It also matches well with my playstyle which is how I approach most rpg games

The charm of this game is letting you fully customize your class build and seing how it turns out.

@Senpachie
I like your build, I might make my next build similar to yours or turn it into a plague doctor to spread the crit debuff

I was thinking of going PD, kinda wish I did since im more of a support monk.

Interesting build. I actually have a Cleric 1 - Krivis 2 character that was going to be a monk. I was thinking Cleric 1 - Krivis 2 - Priest 1 (for moonstrance) or Cleric 2 for Safety zone - Monk 3

But now that you are doing it I will hold on this and focus on my other two and see what you can say at 220+

I am unfortunately not going as fast and am working on 2 characters at the same time. May be will drop one of them at 180ish once i see how c2 monk performs at my end

Just one thing I want to nitpick on:

Zalciai shouldn’t be leveled past Lv3 (For the Enhance attribute) because of the low scaling per skill level. Here’s the Lv3 and Lv15 Zalciai:

  • Lv3
    Ally’s Critical Attack: +(25 + SPR)
    Enemy’s Critical Resistance: -(9 + SPR x 0.8)

  • Lv15
    Ally’s Critical Attack: +(100 + SPR)
    Enemy’s Critical Resistance: -(28 + SPR x 0.8)

For +12 skill levels, those benefits aren’t worth it, and the main benefit comes from the Zalciai:Enhance attribute and SPR (Which you’d only be getting from equipment if they have it since you don’t run SPR in your stat distribution). Those extra points would be better off in Aukuras.

I see… that makes me contemplate wether I should add more SPR in this build
to make most out of zalciai

I tried building Aukuras but since I am more mobile and keep moving from different areas (thanks to the game’s low spawn rate) and Aukura’s 1m cooldown
I don’t benefit much from Aukuras. I’m a solo player, maybe when my playstyle changes I might shift those points to aukuras when I skill reset
right now I benefit more from Lv15 Zalciai since I have high dex I go through the monster’s crit resist wall

interesting thing, its actually -37 to enemy crit resist with Lv15 Zalciai not -28

my Zalciai enhance is only Lv50 here so its only 161

That extra 9 should be coming from your current SPR amount. Is it 11?

Yeah its… so -28 is correct

Garienza, how u doing with this build? Are you lacking overall effectiveness compare to other common monk builds?

Right now where I’m lacking is in the healing area. During mission runs I give my heals to party members first before myslef(if there is no other healer) its enough to heal 1 Archer and 1 Wizard and I just use pots for myself. but thats just it, i they take another damage after that they are on their own, usually its the Archers have the highest mortality rate.

Also no defense buffs to offer the party, only Dex Archers get to benefit from Zalciai, Wizards a little. Utility buffs from Daino

and also short duration of safety zone. Against high mob areas it falls down in 5 sec. but against bosses its more than enough to last the whole duration. makes me wish sometimes to have taken cleric2 instead of Krivis 3

But like I said the idea behind this build is to sacrifice defense in favor of offense.

It makes up for being able to kill targets faster

Divine Stigma Lv10 adds 200-300 damage to Double Punch and and Zalciai adds another (curently lv50 attribute) 160 to Critical attack (+180 critical attack from STR) to Double Punch also

I like to refer to Zalciai as the Krivis’ version of Blessing. too bad Blessing doesn’t stack with Double Punch

Currently Lv207 and doing quest at Drill Ground of Confliction, those Blue Ticen Magicians are a real pain they have 30k HP and Earth element so Zaibas is 50% less effective I can take down 2 at once with Zaibas, Palm strike and Double Punch before they kill me

Brown Rambears have 60k HP but weak against Lightning, Zaibas Deals 1.5k damage per hit

Farming - spent 2 hours farming gems last night in Demon prison. Zaibas really helps a lot with farming 1 rotation of Energy Blast is equal to 2 rotations of Zaibas, anything Zaibas fails to finish gets blown off by 1 hit from double punch

Boss Fights - Zaibas with Double Punch makes a good combo, right now it deals an aveage damage of 600-800 per hit to boss monsters. Thats 23k - 30k damage every 30 sec from zaibas alone. it helps me attack at a distance while reducing risks. Paired with attacks from Double punch I get pretty decent numbers per min

My real concern is Lv 250+ where the quests ends and the True Grinding starts, not sure if i can join grinding parties by then since they expect monks to have resurection at least or Heal Lv10

You really underestimating Palm Strike, its raw damage in level 5 is only a bit lower than Smite level 5 with Demon advantage (which means more damage than Smite if you deal non-demon monsters), Paladin’s skill making it’s almost substitute of Smite added with bleeding attribute… It’s considered as best leftover skill to put when you already fill everything…
