Bug with dead players position

Sometimes (manytimes actually…) When i`m in party with my friends and one of them dies , a glitch happens and the dead body still moving until it hit a wall (but the position of the body becomes unknow to anyone else than the player.

I think anyone can see how HORRIBLE this is for anyone ,principally for the support of the party.

Please … this must be fixed as soon as possible.

I have seen those kind of weird stuff outside of party too…

It is indeed funny, but when you are a FS and you are on a DG Boss and must Ress the party members this is extremely frustrating >.<

The problem is still there even after all this time… I don’t know if many have seen this strange bug occurs so I decided to move the post to this section.

Hopes this help GMs and others to know the existence of this problem.

I actually want to make a video of this problem, but I need some volunteers (sacrifices) to die for me, over and over and over so we can reproduce it on video. Probably need to find a world boss or something. The worst part of this is that usually when you cast Res without a valid target, it won’t go off and enter cooldown, but when the position is bugged, and the game thinks the person’s body is there, it lets the skill go off, the player doesn’t come back to life, and now you’re on cooldown for 30 seconds. (this presumably also means that even if you did know the proper location, the game wouldn’t properly detect the player and let res go off there either, but this needs testing)

But first, let me get this straight, is it only the dead player character in question that can witness this problem or everyone BUT the dead player character?
Or is it that case where EVERYONE including the dead player see the movement but only the dead player knows the exact spot where s/he died.

I have seen this before as well. As a support priest, another player would die and slide across the floor as a dead body. I would attempt to resurrect the dead body (which slid across the floor) and it would fail. I then realized that it was probably a graphical glitch and attempted to resurrect where I assumed the person died–resurrection worked.

Dead player does not experience the graphical glitch, only other players.

It feels similar to the party member running forever glitch in cut scenes. Not sure if that’s reported xD.

Although it’s not very practical, a quick fix to this bug is actually exiting the area where the dead body would presumably be (so it is offscreen) and walking back, which will show the dead body at the correct place which you can then resurrect without issue.

That is good to know in case of emergency. Thankfully we have icoin res for the time being, but later on when that is gone…
