This is not a bug, Maximum Attack includes Magic Attack

So what’s the point of getting Blue Gems? I’m pretty sure Red Gems aren’t supposed to raise MATK, only PATK.

Lol why is this a problem? Red gems/ Maximum atk does increase magic attack. Blue gems does a consistent magic attack increase though.

Be thankful it is useful. People choose five hammer then 5 red gems since it benefits both physical and magical classes.

I don’t know, seems to me that this is bugged, there are blue gems to increase MATK, something is wrong here.

Red Gem gives Maximum Attack which varies per hit, Blue Gem gives Magic Attack which is a fixed increase.

It only increase Maximum attack whether its phsysical or magical attack, other wise if take magick attack it will increase minimum and maximum mattack. Got it?

IIRC blue gems also increases the value on the weapon itself, which works to make your transcending bonus even better (for staff and rods, of course), unlike red gems who increases your matk via max atk at your character chart - so no increase via transcending -.

Wrong. Gems are not counted for transcendence. Only bonuses from refinement and weapon maintenance(from Squire).
