Buff seller question

Hello there

After a lot of pondering I’ve finally decided for my 3 classes:
Main: Schwarzer Reiter (counts as 2 slots because pet= -1 char slot, also has identify thanks to Appraiser)
Second: Alchemist (free pots, gem roasts, awakenings, Magnum Opus, hell, what doesn’t that class have? XD)
Third: Buff seller Pardoner

Now the question is: what class to choose for R8? Here’s the build I’m going with:

Now, I want Pardoner C3 not only because I can sell higher level scrolls, but also so my main can use them too.

But what should be the last rank? The options I’ve got are:

  1. Cleric - to increase the level of Cure & Deprotect Zone
  2. Krivis - for Aukuras, Daino & Zalciai
  3. Oracle - for Arcane Energy, Clairvoyance & Forecast

Reasons to pick them:

  1. Makes the scrollable skills lv 10 <- if this one’s picked I’ll put it as R2
  2. More diversity in buff scrolls, but only lv5
  3. Same as above, with exception of Clairvoyance & Forecast which can be only lv 1.

What do you think?

chaplain, easiest to play till 330 (if u pick chaplain at r5)

oh u’ll need divine might for your shop too

don’t go pardoner3 it’s almost useless class

u don’t have any lv10-lv15 skill to craft scroll

What’s the point of C3 Pardoner ?

You can’t craft level 15 scrolls if your Daino is level 5 or your Arcane Energy is 5. You need both Simony and the skill you want to scroll to be X level to make it.
So I’d advice to ditch C3 Pardoner, then you can take Krivis 1 and Oracle 1 for level 5 scrolls, Oracle 2 for Arcane Energy 10, or Cleric 2 just for Divine Might. Everything sells better if it’s +1 level.

Huh, I didn’t consider Chaplain. But since I’m full SPR will it make any difference?

My bad, I thought Blessing was on crafting list…

Considering this, is this the build I should aim for?

2x-4x stronger aa

with aspergillum + last rites

easily make 10k-20k dmg each swing

Chaplain won’t make a difference in terms of profit. You’ll get a better AA so it’s easier to solo, but your goal is to make profit, no ?
If you go Chaplain you’ll really only sell your buffs, you can maybe sell a few Monstrance/Cure scrolls… not sure how much profit you’d make with level 1 Monstrance scrolls though.

Well, to be honest I like to solo… And the majority of income will mainly come from lv6 buff shop anyway. The only skills worth scrolling would be from Krivis because I have 2 free ranks to fill, and C2 Krivis offers 3 lv10 skills to sell…
I really can’t decide… Solo route or profit route…

as pardoner owner since obt

i rarely use crafting becoz pardoner mostly

pardoner mostly carrying overweight supply

u’ll need to store item often when u want to craft more scroll

traveling between market manager, pardoner master, buff shop location feel anoyning

crafting also use a lot of time and market only listed for 7days

so, ideally just leave pardoner at shop location while doing stuff withother char

Well I do have Alch to craft me pots, and the only usable scroll for my main would be Zalciai… I think I’ll go the solo route after all ^^

Thanks for the help

You can keep free warps though. Parchments weight 1, it’s not heavy at all. Personally I buy several thousands no problem x) But with Priest and all the plants kept, it’s a lot of items and weight I imagine, yeah.
Crafting does take some time, but you can just set it up to craft then go eat or something. Since crafting is totally AFK I think it’s fine.
If it was crafting like for Dispellers, recipes, arrows, or such, where server can lag and makes you stop though… x_x

@marvinconman
Well, you should go Chaplain-Pardoner then, so you can solo more easily and make a little bit of profit.
I just don’t find Pardoner shops’ profit that high. Although it depends on your server anyway. Note that you can also sell Dispellers, if it’s worth it on your server.
(But I like crafting scrolls more since I easily make at least 5k profit per scroll for some skills =P)

EDIT: Guess you chose~

It’s not like I’m gonna keep my buff shop open all day anyway. I’m not playing multiple accounts, and it’s just that compared to all other shops Pardoner seems to have the most profit (comparatively). I just want a shop that I can set up during evening when I’m tired from playing but I still want to make a bit of cash ^^

As for the server I’m on Fedimian.

IMO pardoner its not the more profitable shop at all, i have a few friends that have appraisers and they make 400-500k per day when selling all their materials, on the other hand if i sell 200 of each buff im not even close to that 400k, so yeah.

That being said if no one its farming HG then appraisers are pretty much dead, while in the other hand buffs are always needed.

I’m not gonna read everything but you want to go cleric c2 for divine might, so your buffs gain +1 level hence more buyers. ^^

i have pardoner, squire, alchemist, appraiser

i mostly keep pardoner shop all day (not for profits but for convenience)

i place buff shop near my squire camp for longer buff duration

when i want to farm stuff with sr i’ll move my shop there

(blessing wear off in 7-10min and u don’t want to tp back often when farming stuffz)

my alchemist have 0 gem roast, potion income is fine but it isn’t big margin as active farming

Just read this. If you’re still considering a Pardo that can do most of the daily endgame stuff and still setup shop after playing and before going to bed, I would suggest this: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/xaqx08tbl2/

Been running with it for about a month now. Quite enjoyable for guys who prefer to stick with just one toon (build’s been nerfed quite a bit though with the removal of the PoA>Reversi>DE synergy).

My experience:
At the beginning, retain only the pots and stamina pills that you need for combat; go out and do dailies (uphill, lower ET, 140, CM, saalus). After that, open all cubes and store/sell stuff you get from your runs; stock up on buff mats (I usually buy 2k powders, 1.75k holy water and gyslotis without ending up overweight), pick your spot and setup shop. Rinse, repeat.
