Buff Limit at Future Ranks

When we, clerics, reach future ranks, I’m sure there will a ton of “new buffs”. But would buff limit stays the same?

I’m Full Support Chaplain (R5), i am hestinating between Krivis and Cleric C2 for R6 because of the buff limit, I had no problem at first as I planned to go Cleric C2, then Plague Doctor at R7,8 but I am sure I would have the problem in future ranks without Daino.

How is taking Cleric C2 at R6 , Krivis at R7, and Plague Doctor at R8, will it be too late?. If you have any recommendation, Thanks in Advance.

If you’re chaplain, I assume you’ve maxed out mass heal? If yes, you could substitute it for the cleric 2 heal tiles. I’d recommend taking krivis on r6 than giving up plague doctor on r7 unless you’re planning to take plague only as a filler rank. The problem is, there’s no assurance whether r9 and r10 classes would be exponentially better than the current classes so make sure you’re considering it on your build.

If you don’t go PvP/GvG on your Chaplain, yeah, you can buy scrolls.
But to me a Chaplain should pick Krivis.
I mean a Cleric 2/Priest 3 alreayd has quite a lot of buffs, but a Chaplain will add even more. It depends on if you really want to use all or most of your buffs all the time, or if you’re ready to only use them when strictly necessary.
If you want to keep most of your buffs all the time -> Krivis (because spamming Dain scrolls will end up being super expensive)
If you can limit the buffs depending on your party members -> PD.

On a side note, I’m not even sure Krivis 1 will be enough when we get to R8+. R8 might still be okay-ish but for the next ranks… I doubt it.
I always thought that in the end, Daino 10 will probably be necessary (at least in difficult instances).

Which is why you cant even waste a single rank on Chaplain if you want to support. Passing up Cleric2 is not an option no matter what you want to do partywise. To include Chap as of current R7, you either miss Cleric2, Krivis or the R7 class of your choice. I dont think Chaplain makes up for missing that.

You could move it to R8, but you would miss something like Miko, Krivis2 or Oracle. Not really great either.

Thanks for all of the replies, I guess i’m leaning toward Krivis now.

For the late contents, many people say that 5 tiles Heal is not enough. But from my experience, NO ONE Stepped on my heals, I must put my heals under their feet, I hope people in the late contents will :frowning:
That’s why I thought 10 heals would be necessary, just for adding “More Chance” of people stepping on them.
Mass heal (I’ve maxed it out) is useless when your party are scattered (the one that is dying always runs off the group and doesn’t take my Mass Heal while everyone takes it instead). But it’s more reliable than Heals!

So if 5 heals and 10 mass heal is enough, i’ll lean toward Krivis

I’ve chosen Chaplain because I also want the solo capability, which Chap is very great. I have so much fun when glinding with my sister or sometimes alone. (high dmg + immortal) “An independent and reliable healer”.

It’s just my playstyle, there is nothing wrong with it. “It’s just fun”

Supporting is a painless road.

I do suggest to have a c2 k1 pally3 pardoner 1 alt. It’s kinda playable in solo at rank 8 with inquisitor, or you can go realy deep and take oracle at rank 8, become the master scroller and forget the toon forever, aside crafting.

You are gonna be able to craft your own daino at rank 5 (I do suggest to craft lvl 3/4 daino to save money overall) and then you can pick those sweet barrier/restoration scrolls slowly, and finish up with some right clicks (inqui) or with the full set of crafts (arcane energy and forecast).

Krivis, after the nerf to zaicai, is super disappointing atm in pve, I would rather have as a filler oracle or diev in that place, honestly.

Craft your own daino and save same munney.

That sad, is a bad patch for all the priest versions. Rank 8 doesn’t sinergy with spirit users and, from a pve pov, inqui is a dex class while taoist is int. Plus, chaplain (I have always hated that class but I can see why some people do like it  ) looks even worst since inqui is basically everything chaplain wished to be.

2 cents:

wanna meta? go for pally/inqui or krivis/druid/taoist builds.

Wanna play your loved spirit cleric? take it slowly, prepare your crafter to be ready for whatever build is gonna come next. We are all waiting for miko, right? ^^ plus a crafter pve class can help your guild and is a super safe bet in the long period

Heal 5 even with Mass heal is not enough to keep your party alive depending on how high dmg your party is taking, even if it’s a good party which knows how to avoid dmg. Cleric 2 is the undesirable but needed road to keep your party alive. I do have a Cleric 1 Priest 3 with Hanaming gem and restoration. Sometimes it’s not enough and you see the difference in those extra tiles.

That might be true, but a main reason for this is also that a lot of people just expect clerics to be C2 and think that 7k hp with Lvl220+ is enough. Even if u are Cleric C2 those people cant be healed and massheal and c1 clerir are okay if the group has 10000 hp. Earthtower not included here

It’s not only about carpet.

I suggest yout to read safety zone: block count

Safety zone at circle 1 is ■■■■, that attribute is sooo game changing.

There is NO way to play C1 guys, that’s it.

I play a C1, its my fun char I didnt build him for parties but it still works for dungeons and saalus.

The main problem is that players tend to go all kamikaze as soon as ther is a cleric symbol in the group. Like in Missions, they stop jumping over the attacks etc.

So yeah its not the easiest gameplay to go C1 but it is a viable way to go

Thanks for all the replies, i really appreciate them guys
I’ll take them in my considerations

Last time I searched for the scroll on Marketplace, it’s 1k each.

Instead of building new Pardoner, shouldn’t I spend those time into glinding silver? (plus it gives EXP too  )

But scroll can’t be used in PvP and GvG, right?

And Miko! I must put her in any rank for the costume >…<
