Buff classes poll!

Its the exception, not the rule. There are many that fall off and only a few that are still worth anything in rank 8.

Sadhu doesn’t need a buff imo, it needs a overall bottom-up rework on its skills and gameplay.

a hope for sadhu :disappointed:

Im honestly surprised the [Class] Sadhu thread isnt just 3000 posts of pictures of crying animals, anime girls and characters from ingame

Well thats a pretty big exception:

Exceptions:
Highlander
Peltasta
Hoplite
Rodelero
Barbarian
Doppelsoeldner
Fencer
Dragoon
Murmillo

Wizard (Not to familiar with this tree)
Linker
Sorcerer
Chronomancer
Runecaster
Warlock
Sage

Archer (Again not to familiar with this tree besides a few ranks)
Quarrel Shooter
Ranger

Cleric
Krivis
Priest
Deivdirbys
Bokor
Plague Doctor
Taoist
Inquisitor

They either have scaling/relevant damage, debuffs, buffs, or heals that won’t die in the wake of new ranks.
Probably others I havent named.

Why are you listing rank 8s?

Also;
Highlander
Peltasta
Hoplite
Rodelero
Barbarian
Sorcerer
Warlock
Runecaster
Priest
Deivdirbys
Ranger

All fall off incredibly fast after rank 7.

Linker is always good, wizard3 is always good, archer2, cleric2, krivis3(with dao only), bokor with PD2, dopple3, fencer3, dragoon2 are all fine in rank 8 as well. Chrono is only good because pass and haste/quicken.

These classes that I have named have a few skills that stay and will stay relevant when new ranks come out.

Not even slightly.

Maybe highlander 3 with the armor break but even then.

Rode is only for murm and barb is incredibly garbo along with peltasta. Hell, pelt is already garbage at rank 7.

Druid dps class but 1 attack skill for whole 3 circle?
Carnivory splash attack attribute
Lycantropy faster and more furious looking attack. with stats scaling.

Pelt:
Swash Buckling
Guardian
High Guard

Barb:
Cleave
Warcry
Frenzy

These are a few skills that will remain to be used if picked in these ranks.

Oh, you’re one of those people who think this is necessary. I almost feel sorry for you.

No need to reply, i wont be responding to you anymore.

Lmao, you take one skill out of the 3 I said to you and automatically believe that I think it is necessary… Good job, just when I was having fun debating with you. :expressionless:

Not to mention I said:[quote=“megamanex14, post:30, topic:327816”]
These are a few skills that will remain to be used if picked in these ranks.

Good job A+

Barb has a crit buff/slash debuff skill and a 2overheat stun at c1 an later gets 2 Atk buffs and another 2overheat stun at c2 onwards.
Pelt c1 has taunt(+hp boost att), def buff(+evasion att) and give a manual guard that boosts def and block which is basic support off-tank most sword builds will like at late game.

DPS based circles pre r7 is what take most hit once r8 is out due to the massive damage and hp spike r8 brings.
Support based skills/class mostly stays relevant regardless what happens.

what the… I though this thread talking about Cleric…

Swordies like to think people care about them so they will throw their two cents in wherever they can

Funny because my main is a Cleric(Paladin).

Besides I distinctly remember someone posting:

Good try mate. Especially when I gave you a list with wizard archer cleric and swordsman ranks, not just swordsman

To expand the list of cleric skills that never fall off and are good initially:

  • Cleric: Heal, Safety Zone, Fade and Divine Might.
  • Krivis: Zaibas (only with Taoist), Melstis & Daino.
  • Priest: Aspersion, Res, Mass Heal, Revive, Monstrance, Stone Skin (if spr).
  • Bokor: Hexing’s +30% dark dmg, Mackangdal.
  • Diev: Everything but owl/carve attack.
  • Paladin: Restoration’s heal boost, Resist elements, Turn undead & Barrier*…
  • Pardoner: Discern Evil, Decatose.
  • Chaplain: Deploy Capella.
  • Druid: Chortasmata, Telepath**, Sterea Trofh, Transform & Hengestone.
  • Oracle: Counterspell, Forecast, Foretell & twist of fate (PVP only). (Loot skills somewhat.)
  • PD: Healing Factor, Incineration, Fumigate, Beak Mask, Pandemic, Vapors and Disenchant(PVP).
  • Kabba: R7 & Ein Sof. ***
  • Inquisitor: Breaking wheel is guaranteed, not sure of others.
  • Taoist: Storm Calling, Energy Wave & Dark Sight.

n1: * = Barrier scrolls limit it’s worth.
n2: ** = Telepath cannot be used in transform builds. Good in PVP though.
n3: *** = Double chance requires skill LVL 10 to be good.

You get the idea. Cleric has almost no issue when it comes to scaling.
Only some damage falls off, but can be replaced by later ranks. The vast majority of utility it has scales really well.

The exceptions:

  • Sadhu only offers damage, which falls off far too fast.
  • Monk offers dmg and two unpractical defense skills. Still beneficial for r8, but expected to fall off in 9-10.

Paladin wise:

  • Conviction does scale poorly. Needs stats scaling or percentage based effect.
  • Smite has poor scaling, but plenty more issues to boot. (benefits far less of dex, to slow for PVP, crap dmg vs nondemon/nonmutant.)
  • Resist Elements is now good, but the debuff and cd/duration ratio are lacking.
  • Turn undead works fine in PvE, but arguably a bit too niche and useless for PVP.
  • Restoration’s hp regen value is barely relevant. The healing boost is good though for int/spr builds.
  • Barrier deals crap dmg, the resist is nice but spr does not work well with the rest of the class anymore. + the pardoner scroll issue.
  • Conversion is literally useless atm.

tl/dr:

The class on its own is quite a mess. The sole reason it is usable atm is due to conviction + God smash’s multiplier. Not a first priority of course, but far from perfect.

But most importantly, @Kemonomimi and few others here are simply not worth talking to.
Simply point out their errors and move on, because they will never change their mind nor bother to correct themselves if they are wrong.

Couldn’t have summed it up better myself.
Thank you very much.

Gotta try though, damn my optimism :persevere:

You just pointed out 2 class which you see as ‘garbo’ I just pointed out how they can stay relevant post r8.

Cleric wise discussion? ok, pre r8 cleric classes(imo) that can keep up well and good with the changes it bring in end game.

Cleric2

generally

Kriv

Daino, Zalciai, Melstis is always welcome and Zaibas gets better if going Taoist

Priest/Chap

generic support for any party Sacra and Blessing’s scaling will likely fall short fast tho once past r8

Diev

all statues are great Ausrine is a cunt tho

Pala

quite in a technical position right now outside those going for Inquisitor. Restoration works well with boosting healing skills, ResistElements could get a better, Barrier should have an attribute that makes more ideal than scrolled ones

Pard

Quite under valued right now, and likely to be wanted in later game due to DiscerningEvil and IncreaseMagicDefense as well as Indulgentia for those who didn’t go PD at later ranks

PD

all around anti-debuff/buff that cripples its foes
