Now this isin’t a QQ/Complaint post, just some way to vent out some of my frustration so that I can mentally prepare myself to going back to grindfest.

Brandish is just ■■■■■■■ impossible to drop it seems. I saw a guy saying that it took him 2758 Shtaiym kills to drop his recipe. I’m currently nearing 3100 kills and trying not to cry.

Obviously you havent played ragnarok, where drop rate for best stuff is as low as 0.01% , that stands for averagely 10k mob kills
0.01% drop chance from world bosses no less.

I got really lucky then. I just randomly whacked one of the mobs in the RM and it just dropped the recipe. I wasn’t even trying to farm it.
Just have to keep trying. Depends on your luck really. Or you can just kidnap an Oracle with you since they can predict which loot can be dropped, and even change it to a different item.
Oh and bring a Doppel or Thaum once you find which mob drop the recipe.
I got mine on 100+ kills. Dont forget to pray to RNG God.
I’m fine with low drop rates but for god’s sake improve the spawn rates of mobs

i got a brandish recipe just by hunting vikaras core, didnt expect it, :D, I think my kill count is less than a thousand… just lucky i guess 
I got a brandish while questing last week, put it on market for 1.5 mil yesterday, not sure if it sold yet.
I have a corsair as my main now, with Jolly Roger skill, every hit has a chance to drop either silver or a rare item, I got Desert Chupacabra Ears in less than 200 mobs
I have friends who ask me to party with them every now and then just so I can help them in finding a rare item, and dungeon parties love me for the extra silver + combo effect stack, lol.
Corsair is nice Plus I’m going Doppel class later on after Corsair C2, so DPE skill + Jolly Roger skill… I can’t even imagine how easy it would be to farm silver and rare items.

The Venom recipe requires 42 geppetto leaves which is like 4200 kills if you farm them…
To be fair, RO typically had a less competition for spawns. (not to mention less travel time on the map)

i feel your pain main, i really do, i killed a gold and silver shtaynim back to back, the gold one dropped 20 fragments and a yellow gem. the silver one dropped 3 yellow gems. i was very much a sad panda. but such is life in an mmo dictated by RNG i spose.

Currently sitting at 1530 but yeah i feel ya pain.
I even had a guy show the recipe to me on chat and told me he got it within 300 kills.
Isn’t it only like 1.2-1.5 mil to buy one on the AH? the time spent farming for the recipe seems like it’d be betters spent just farming silver or other items to sell for that silver.
