Brand New: path to alchemist

So I wasn’t able to play in the previous CBT but I have registered for the next one. I’m doing as much reading as I can on potential wizard builds. I know that chances are I’ll probably just have to experiment once the next test starts, but I’d like to have a vague idea of what my starting points might be. So any advice would be greatly welcomed! :smile:

Things to Know:

  • I never played RO and like I said, missed the last beta. So the sheer size of this class system is both really exciting but also intimidating to me.
  • My end goal right now is to be an alchemist. So I will definitely be building on a wizard :smiley:
  • I will more than likely be primarily PvE. I’ve never done too well on the PvP front in games.

My questions

  • Psychokino looks like a lot of fun to me, but I’m noticing in reading around that many don’t seem to think the class is worth it unless I take it to a certain circle. So would Psychokino be a wasted pursuit if I’m going for an alchemist?

  • Would it be easier to build a support wizard or a dps wizard while working my way towards alchemist? I’m open towards being either one. I’m just unsure how much I’ll be soloing vs how much party play I’ll be able to do. So there’s a small uncertainty there that makes me want to be somewhat self-reliant.

if you want to be more self reliant i would recommend grabbing two circles of thaum for swell body to increase drop rates

then make it fun, example take cryo at 2nd circle and use ice wall offensively with psychic pressure.

also works with fire ball but radius circle

Unfortunately i think the fireball x pressure is patched (correct me if im wrong) and pressure now moves the fireball.

I think it does both? It pushes the Fire Ball but it should still shoot out mini Fire Balls… I haven’t found any recent vids so don’t quote me on this lol.

I thought both combos above were fixed ?
Can we use cryo+psychic combo now ?

Both combos with Psychic Pressure still work, but as @Garrnett said, Psychic Pressure also moves the Fireball now.

And pressure only hits 5 times now
