[Brainstorming] Post your Taoist build and why here

If I was going for Taoist I think I’d go like this:

Cleric 2 > Krivis 3 > Druid 2 > Taoist

Cleric 2 for obvious reasons
Krivis 3 Taoist for obvious reasons
Carnivory 10 and Cure 10 are the best boss killing skills you can add to your Krivis singletarget DPS.
Meltsis + Sterea Troph for ET ultimate defensive combo
Possibility of Druid 3 by rank 9 or 10 in case there is space and get ultimate Zaibas (werewolf is better than quickcast)

You can see in the first video that the damage goes from ~2550 to ~24000 on the golem.

Even in the freya video you can see the “normal” zaibas damage on the Woodspirit at 11:22 and the boosted at 11:31,it’s not 500% at least not in PVE

I think Taoist adds something like 9k+ Base Damage to Electrical attacks instead of some 500~900% multiplier.

Thanks for the feedbacks!
Yeah, I know the obvious choices for Taoist are Druid and PD.
I am just going Paladin for his utilities; Elemental resistance, Turn Undead, Restoration, and Barrier.
-Not 100% sure how “a crap ton of Property Resistance” work, but will it negate a lot of damage?
-Btw does anyone know how much heal tiles heals with restoration active? From my experience, it is like 1.5x or 2x?

I also just want to show some love to Paladin, no one really goes this path…

Paladin restoration buffs the (+INT bonus) part of heal tiles only, the 5% max HP is unchanged.

Taoist rain seems to boost lightning damage, I thought it was 100% per rain level. 500% at lvl 5? I believe it only boosts the +INT bonus part. Not sure, have to check more.

Regarding the siaulai fight: https://youtu.be/U_WNqsl017I
Zaibas 32k on golem which is earth, and 25k on tree which is earth. 47K zaibas on Mole.
The carnivory/cure barely reach 6k damage.

Taoist is very limited by hitcount though, zaibas, carnivory, creeping death charm split hits vs mobs.

Kr cler2-kriv3-druid2 went taoist1 once they realized werewolf mode druid3 was very SP draining, and physical too.

Elemental resist:
Elemental resistance is a flat value calculated prior to any enhance attributes and other multipliers. It’s a very poor stat tbh, esp for pve.
The magic debuff is poor due to the short range and 3min cd.
Chance to negate is quite good, but ofc rng based.

Resto:
60% ish for int builds, 20% for str builds, somewhere in between those for spr. Dunno about rest. May not be that accurate due to low amount of testers.
Can be scrolled and skill level is irrelevant for the healing bonus.

Turn undead:
Pretty darn good, but exclusively works on demons/mutants.

Barrier:
Still haven’t tested it myself, my paladin bores me to death. Can be scrolled, is pretty good.

Conviction:
Up to 600 bonus dmg per hit with all 5 elemental attack properties used. (Earth, Poison, Ice, Fire, Lightning.) Boosts both god smash and smite dmg.

Imo if you want to use paladin3 then do so with a dex inquisitor or int pd2 build.

PD2 brings enough dmg to the table and has enough ticks that conviction adds quite a bit of dmg. (+ pd can spread conviction with pandemic.)

Inquisitor has decent base dmg and can spread melee hits around. Conviction + pandemic + wheel + god smash x3 should also be a good combo. Need someone to test it though.

Taoist is to prone to running out of money on a paladin3 base imo.

unless it has different lightning-amplifying % in both pve and pvp only translation will tell

i noticed on the first boss she deals like 30-32k per hit on zaibas during storm calling and then it goes down to like 25k before storm calling dissipates. After that it deals like 5k+ each… im not sure what causes it though

Vs golem. The zaibas has ended when stormcalling ended, the 5k damage you see is caused by Druid Carnivory.

Vs mole, the 5k damage is from cure, and the 4.4k damage is from Creeping death charm.

Got a bit curious here, where did you see that conviction boosts God Smash damage? Something in the same way Smite hurts more (hit x3 in this case) in targets with Conviction debuff?

Thanks for the numbers!
Elemental Resist: The Cd will be 45 secs at LV15(135secs duration)
That sucks… really thought Pala’s element resist and Taoist’s Three Danger(or something) would make you and your party tanky.

Resto: I only plan on getting it to Lv3 for the attributes.

Barrier: Me neither, I heard it was buggy; mobs that can’t be knockedback can walk through it…

Conviction: Not sure about the God smash bonus.

I already have a C1-K2-Pala2, I’ll see this build through the end.

Can you give me a class layout of a Dex Pala?

Build is here btw:

[Dex] Cleric2 | Priest | Paladin3 | Plague Doctor | Inquisitor :
{ Alternative version: Dievdirby instead of Priest. }
{ Additionally Plague Doctor can be replaced by monk, kabbalist or oracle. }

@TheGodSlayer & @wboccato Found it: https://youtu.be/uPkAv9c_HoI

No, it’s a direct dmg boost. Without conviction he critted for 8k, with it he crits for 19k. Check the second boss fight, the last few seconds he lands 2 unbuffed god smashes.

C2/Kriv3/Dru2/Tao or C2/Kriv3/Priest1/Kabb1/Tao

Both have merits…

is it ok to go cleric2>kriv2>bokor2>pd>tao?
or
cleric>kriv2>bokor3>pd>tao?
or
cleric>kriv3>bokor2>pd>tao?
and also i want to semi-afk farm with zombies XD(if possible)

Not Possible,
Krivis2Bokor2 could realy work for an better daino and good zaibas, The other variants i realy dont like cause you sacrifice cleric2 , The downside of k2b2 is you dont have meltis and Lost some good damage potencial from zaibas

uhm what if i go cleric2>kriv3>bokor>pd>taoist?

is it ok?

You only want Bokor for zombies semi-AFK farming? Zombies scale their attributes with map level, so they won’t be extra strong even if you go the the first map in the game. They are not that strong either and require some maintenance, so until we get zombies 3x stronger (maybe even then) I really don’t find that zombie semi-AFK farming is very practical.

Bokor1 just for Hexing + Effigy is fine. The zombies will be mainly useless though.

if so, at what level should for hexing? like 5 hex 5 effigy then 5 zombify at bokor1?

5 Hexing, 5 Effigy, the rest don’t matter (zombies suck at C1 and will only eat up your heal tiles).

well its good once we get the update. and also do we limit how many zombies we can control? iirc zombify summon is limited by its level, and they say mobs that die with hexing spawns zombies but im not too sure

off topic: toy hammer doesnt add debuff on line damage(cafrisun, blessing) and skill damage right?
