Said to find the one looking for it at West Siau Woods and walked around/talked to every NPC and nothing triggers

It’s a roaming NPC. I found him around the two bridges leading to Klai, but I think he may or may not roam around the map itself.

so you really need to find the NPC? coz yesterday I just right click the box instead of searching the NPC and I got 1 soul crystal lol.
I wonder what’s the difference between finding the NPC and just opening the box for youself. 
Someone said he received a 7 days token opening the box, I do not know if it’s true. I’m beginning to wonder if it’s better open than deliver.
I open it yesterday coz I was wondering if it can be open since it was stated “consumable”. just right now I tried and saw the NPC and I recieve 50 highly condensed sp pots.
