Botters are so blatant .... still no actions from TOS

Ban the account for goodness sakes, they already paid for the early access make them buy some more ( you guys profit ) then ban their botting accounts once again … ( win win for TOS )

Kinda frustratin I can’t farm for Cafri anymore >.> all these botters, IU doubt all of them are for RMT reasons … maybe actual players are using them for their own greedy benefits …

Sheesh, this game is going down quickly after a few months of release … reason … everyone BOTS! no actual person to talk to … ghost server!!!

well GGFFSF (dont know what the last letter if its F or H) in Klaipeda server is still in-game periodically spam their site on megaphone for like 12 hrs already and still not yet banned

I was like " Oh Fudge a Bot Train! ". :frowning: was bad enuff in the mines earlier but this is much worse haha actually letting loose dozens of them in a particular map …

the game is fairly easy to hack since they have no ongoing checks from client > server or Server < client.

what i mean is that if a player uses some program that lets say up your movement speed by alot esstential speed hack.

the server does get the information that the user is running faster then allowed however the server does not react since it doesnt check if the user is running faster then allowed.

basicly the server has to sent information to client that your not allowed to run faster then this and If so you will be disconnected or banned

A casual visit a day say by GMs … 3 times a day to popular bottings spots would be nice …

or log in

megaphone “Any Bots sighted?”
people reply “bots found on Channel x near x” or “name of bot is “esdqwedgf” GM”
GM teleport to said reported bot
assess and ban

let the community help in banning bots by reporting when GM is online

IMC is already working on a Report function but imo other than that they should improve their security against this.

It’s a hard problem to solve. If you let people report, how do you know if they are botting, really? What if they don’t speak English? If they don’t then that’s a problem because a bot can just tell them they don’t speak English.
It’s also a double edge sword, because if you let this happen then bad people are likely going to abuse it.

Maybe they should warp suspected of botters to a random room where they have to escape ? or warp then back to town and monitor their action from there? That way there won’t be any misunderstanding or abuse? I dunno.

They could have started just by being online … at least ban a few dozens off … its better to have banned some of them already than keep on planning of a counter plan that could take months to implement …

They should bestow “ban” powers to some players …

read the 2nd to the last line. They announced it yesterday.

Those bots are only meant to bypass the lvl40 shout restriction and to farm Vubbe figther Blood. Main farming bots are already somewhere around 100lvls. They will use auction after that, which currently at the hands of IMC to filter out their transactions. As long as the token prices are decreasing i think thats good sign that botters havent infiltrated the market yet.

Changing the current trading restrictions will mean releasing all the satans into our world.

better to say something when asked than nothing. even if you dont know english as long as you interacted its safe

i posted one yesterday i think that i saw a bot doing repeat pattern. i talk to him and never replied back even if i just said his name.

if he did say something then maybe the suspicion might get lower but still he didn’t

The ones in my video … I doubt they’re doing it for fun ( defintely bots ) … running in a single line like that then disperses when they spot an enemy …

I think lack of actions towards this can be forgiven because staff must be busy preparing for launch. There are a lot of important things to be fixed and adjusted.

Does anyone know how to actually check if a GM is online/contactable in game?

As they stated previously, banning bots does not rid of bots. You are just killing ants and not the ant colony. More ants will continue to come as so will more bots.

They are currently working on systems which prevent or make it difficult for RMTs (the one controlling the bots) to do gold selling. Rid of gold selling, you rid of bots. Very simple concept, but very hard to do.

Token price decreasing is a sign that the bot is succeeding though. It makes buying silver from RMT more worth than buying from imc.

Imagine they haven’t banned any Early Access users at all … what will happen at F2P …

I wished they kept Tree of Savior b2p but oh well. Ain’t my marketing decision.

I like the “Special room with a puzzle inside to warp you back to the map you were on” idea.
