BOT counter suggestion

  1. I was thinking, these bots never do quests right? IMC should make LVL to quest ratio system… Like for example there are more than 150 Main quests from Lvl 1-50. A lvl 50 character should have already completed atleast 30 main quests… If not then it will raise a red flag, not an immediate ban but a closer look from staff… I doubt these bots did at least 5 quests.

  2. To encourage accurate reporting, a small reward should be given. For example, a player with 8 or more RII (Report Influence Index) should be given 1 TP (real TP not the daily one) for every 5 reported bots banned…

BTW the day you guys declared that you banned a lot of bots, I saw lvl 100 bots in Goddess Ancient Garden in Gruive Highway area. 3 bots 1 each channel… I can’t farm usosis because they are kill all the mobs then sale tons of Uosis in the market… They are still there until now. Please some GM visit that map and say hello to them…

Fun Fact: Almost all of the bots in the field (outside the town) are cleric class… If a bot is reported and its a cleric, chances are high…

yeah that quest idea is necessary, this would either force the bots to take time and make a new bot script that includes questing or quest manually to be able to grind at higher level zones.

It wouldn’t stop bots.

It’d just make them have to hire outside help and believe me on my job search I’ve seen RMT accounts request several accounts that meet x criteria for payment for freelancers.

But if IMC wont tell the players about this system, the boters won’t notice. If a bot got banned, the boters will think that his character was banned because it was reported by players… They will not think it was because they did not do any quest since IMC made this system secret to the players…

IMC can’t do that, because players would need a guide. Not every player does the quests, I’ve met quite a few people who haven’t touched a single quest and have grinded the whole way there. You’re suggesting a system that requires them to clear quests and the RMTs on being banned multiple times would then start to figure. “Oh that’s why, let’s go post a freelancer position.”

Like I said not questing doesn’t mean you get banned right away… IMC staff just have to look at your character. I can tell if a character is a bot in 10 seconds… I don’t understand what you mean about "freelancer post’? Do you mean they will pay a programmer to make a new bot script for them?

Oh my goodness, it’s not that simple. Not to mention some bot scripts namely the accounts meant to be in higher level areas are coded better and not so easy to tell they’re a bot. You’d have to follow them around for a minute or so to know they’re a bot by looking at their movements.

Freelancer. a person who works as a writer, designer, performer, or the like, selling work or services by the hour, day, job, etc., rather than working on a regular salary basis for one employer.

Some people on sites such as freelancer.com put out job offerings to level accounts for MMOs or fill specific requirements for a solid amount of pay, say $50-100 depending on how much time is needed. RMTs are the ones who put out these jobs.

How about restricting all trades, including market place untill a specific quest is done?
Could be lvl 50 main quest.

Then that just mean boters will invest more RL money if they implement this system. Will it be worth it? because questing doesn’t give them as much silver as bot grinding in a specific area for days.

We don’t know if they’re making a good profit or not, the suggestion isn’t bad but it won’t stop them. Nothing can stop them.
