I’m not sure but it seems like they don’t have any cooldown right now, its most likely a bug…
All MMOs that have mobs/bosses like this all suffer from the same AI issues. No matter how well they do, bosses always end up just being sponge that either instakill you or doesn’t kill you.
They will need to completely introduce a new mechanic to make bosses more interesting/difficult and like all bosses with mechanic, the majority of the playerbase will hate it because it just make the farming more tedious after they figure out how to guarantee a win. Worse, it will force a special comp around those bosses.
You need to understand that creating a good AI is one of the most time-consuming and complicated task since it’s a bunch of If-then.
Not to mention these monster likely share the same monster class script, just different values, which is why all of them pretty much share a very similiar AI. ToS focus is on the various classes system, not super intense boss battle.
So we can keep asking for “Intense and hard AI” but with all the limitation placed in the game code and the difference in game direction, I’m sure it will never happen.
well, no one’s really asking for that, this games seems less inventive than decade old ones.
Majority of the players played games like GE and RO before. GE was made by IMC and RO devs worked on this game.
And those games focused more on various classes and characters over intense boss combat. The PvE content is pretty much identical. Loads of stuffs for you to taunt and AoE with bosses being bullet sponge that uses a certain amount attack that can just insta kill you or fail to kill you forever.
So if anything, the people asking for a completely different combat direction are the one asking for stuffs that game never planned on providing. If they want to fight bosses that keep dodging stuffs around and has to be defeated through a bunch of mechanics and environment interactions, they best pick some other games.
The only good thing about the bosses in this game is that they dont share the same butthurt mechanic that probably WoW first introduced. That is wiping, or moving to a place inaccessible by the boss will make it heal to 100%.
Weelllll, im a lvl 290 cannoneer and the bosses at 130 dungeon kill me easy when rushing lmao…before update they didn’t touch me at all, now they are a big challenge :x RIP
I miss RO and how it had no stupid ■■■■ like AoE attack that limited how many monsters you could hit.

TFW bosses gets reduced cooldown to the point of OP but boss card summons get increased cooldowns to the point of useless.
MIneloader is pure magic now, you wont be able to dodge/block its lasers now, only manual dodge
His bull rush is still physical, green laser rush, the spread cannon shot and violet laser aoe static field however are magic.
Just attempted Lvl 295 quest boss… That 40k aoe magical spam islovely… IMC have mercy!!!
His purple field is a channeled skill. You need to wait for it to move first. Sometimes it decides to sit there and channel for ages. Sometimes it moves right after.

Several boss atks are no longer blockable and cannot be dodged.
Yea, someone necro’d this really old out-of-date irrelevant thread. The boss CD thing was fixed a while ago.

A good way to determine if a boss attack has changed to unblockable & cannot be dodged’ is to have inquisitor throw Pears. Pears will fly to the boss when its atk is of this type.
Another way is to have swordie with pelta or rode hold C to shieldguard the attack. Swordie might die though.
Or notice whether you are unable to dodge attacks which you have always dodged before (however you might die).

I soloed centaris with Druid3, but definitely not able to do that with Melee class or something.
Take 10 min with 4 times turning into a bug to kill both the horses.
