Boss invulnerability

Either the boss is hard, and you are too busy dodging its attack while it’s invulnerable, or it’s easy, and the invulnerability just means the player has to do nothing and wait.

So many times the boss went invulnerable right as I burned an attack with a long cooldown. Sometimes they spam invulnerable moves over and over. Sometimes they have a bug that makes them permanently invulnerable. It’s all extremely frustrating. Senselessly frustrating.

There is nothing good about boss invulnerability. It’s anti-fun. Please get rid of it.

I think it could be fun if we had a way to counter it.

Sure. That’d be fine too. Maybe even cool.

But it’d be a lot more work for them.

For now disabling it until something we can do to take it off comes along seems like a good route :smiley:

Trying being a elementalist and blowing a bunch of 60s+ cooldown spells just to have a boss go invul xD

at least you got a bunch, psycho only has 1 skill that actually works :expressionless:

Maybe they could just increase the boss defense instead of making it invulnerable.

Hmm, yeah I’ll admit that invulnerability is annoy ESPECIALLY if it gets bugged and the boss has that ‘invulnerability’ buff permanently… had that happen more than once … had to log out so I could restart the boss.

But hmm, perhaps instead of invulnerability… how about the bosses goes into a stance where they charge up for a super attack and can be cancelled by causing enough damage… otherwise they would have to dodge the attack.

Course the idea is inspired from Ys Seven where certain bosses goes to a stance to do a super attack, if the party is able to deal enough damage the boss would fail the attack and becomes stunned.

Or instead of making boss invulnerable they could just make players silenced (unable to use skills)?
This way you won’t waste skills with long cooldown as you won’t be able to cast them.

Nonetheless sometimes its frustrating when you keep running away from minions and try to avoid boss attacks while waiting for right moment to use your skills and then suddenly you can’t hurt boss and you have to keep running in circles while your stamina keep dropping.

+1 to removal of invulnerability state on bosses.

This just remembered me of a freaking boss from Tenet Chapel b1, the one you face
once you talk to the npc after entering the chapel.

I burned some multi shots due to the boss entering invulnerable mode.

yup, you even fight it a second time and it does the same [censored] over and over :rage:
