Boss Fleeing Bug: Level 100 Mercenary Mission - Siaulai

Please fill in as much as you can :

Date and Time : 12:30PM EST

Game Control Mode : Keyboard

Where it happened : Level 100 Mission: Siaulai

Bug Description :
My party and I began hitting and killing the first boss of the Siaulai Mercenary Mission. Then, the boss began to flee away from the party (like some monsters do when approaching critical health) and it headed towards the direction of the 2nd area of the mission. That area was blocked off by barricades because the first boss had not been defeated. The boss “noclipped” past the barricades and continued fleeing up the stairs. We could not defeat the boss or lure it back inside because we were blocked by the barricades. We could not continue the mission because the boss had gone through impassable terrain in which none of our party members could overcome. Eventually our party gave up and exited the dungeon. Doing this consumed one (1) mission entrance for every member of the party.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Enter Siaulai Mercenary Mission
  2. Start damaging first boss near the entrance to the 2nd area of the mission (which is blocked by a barricade)
  3. Trigger the boss to flee from the party in the direction of the 2nd area of the map
  4. Be unable to reach the boss due to presence if barricade
  5. Be unable to continue with mission

Screenshots / Video :
I wish I had recorded it. Would have been funny to show you.

This happened to me as well on Siaulai. I think the cause was because I took on the agro, was launched up into the air with that ground slam skill and ended up on the other side of the barricade.

When I jumped back into the main area the boss decided head towards where I fell (behind the barricade) and continue to walk in that direction.

The party was salty about losing the mission entrance but was indeed hilarious.

Haha, it was a bummer. And thank you for adding this reply, at least I know that it isn’t and isolated case.

Oh, I really thought this would have been resolved by now. I haven’t heard of or experienced another incident regarding this topic.
