Boss Card Feature Feedback

First off I want to say that I know this game is not Ragnarok Online.

Now about the current card system. Currently outside of a minigame with no real purpose and the 2 classes currently able to use boss cards it seems kind of pointless and a waste. Hopefully cards will extend to all characters/creatures given that the gambling minigame exists.

I feel that the cards should be considered to be used in the sockets like how Ragnarok Online did it as well as the current purposes. The way Ragnarok Online did the cards gave the following benefits:

  1. Older areas are still populated, by those seeking cards making partying easier for players late to the game ie. a year later the mid level areas will potentially be deserts.

  2. Giving variation to builds. On top of the many class trees, you get another range of diversity that players cannot expect. For example skills from other classes.

  3. Giving new players a chance to make some money to start off better through selling cards. Some cards from lower level drops could potentionally help get players a little richer.

I feel cards should not overwrite what gear already does, but supplement them. Since the only cards available now are boss cards, they should potentially give something cool to the players who acquire them regardless of their class. Instead of what Ragnarok Online 2 did and failed with(static boring stat attributes), do something more of Ragnarok Online ie. Steal for a mage type class etc.

I agree pretty much with the 3 of your point views. This card system is a world to be explored… selling and dropping them would have 2 purposes: boss card game + building…

It would be fantastic to see this Boss fighting game more evoluted, like a game with the complexity of TCG’s games… this was going to be very, very funny and different.
