Bored of doing everyday the same

That and classic RO and renewal are 2 very different things which people frequently forget to distinguish.

Again…then write a guide, because everybody wants to find a party to level up, cause nobody is able to do it alone. (Except archer classes.)

Honestly, if this statement would be right, nobody would spend all their free tp for megaphones to search parties  (Not to mention that you need to get the right setup. Some classes are not even wanted in those grind groups.)

As I wrote it…they are already implementing quests for the higher areas.

@thebloodyaugust I was playing ragnarok online when it was beta. It was the same till they added quests and etc. You were always able to level up alone. The only thing you couldn’t do is to solo mvp’s. Unless you were an assassin with doppel and phreoni card. :stuck_out_tongue: But that was for a short time too…

Also, this is 2016, nobody wants to be forced to do anything. Gameplays evolved, there is many other thing than grinds now. You can make quests, events and etc… Back in the old days, there were technical things behind this.

Now everyone is doing their best to implement a system which is good for most of the guys.

Just imagine the things here too… You have the confy backspace button when you done the quests…no need to walk back. This alone is a huge difference!

Once again this comes back to efficiency, which appears to be a concept that escapes you.

There are some people already doing it, That takes a long time. if you want to know how to do it look for a person who is posting solo/duo vids on youtube and ask for their builds. That’s what a lot of people are doing and you can ask hk on reddit, he’s pretty active.

At this point though if your build sucks you’re ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– .

That is not even the point. But in RO when my friends weren’t online / I just wanted to play alone / I didn’t have enough time for parties but still wanted to play a bit…then I could.

I could level or try to get some rare drops or cards I could try to get materials for whatever or just do quests…maybe other things…

The question is if you can do anything efficient…(not necessarily the most efficient) in ToS when you would like to… alone…(?)

…and that was ok imo…it still was needed and wanted… So… what was your point here? Because I rly didn’t get.

I only saw some archer/wizard doing clumsy farming, but I will look up to it. :stuck_out_tongue:

As far as I saw, there are no swordman classes who can solo. :stuck_out_tongue: Not to mention that I still have stat reset potion, just in case. However I wouldn’t consider that, since now I’m doing ok/well in groups.

You can still do that on ToS, its just far less effective then grouping.

…what you are saying is basicly: even an ugly guy can get a very hot chick… it’s not impossible, just very hard. Well yeah… Just like in Dumb&Dumber

-Do I have a chance?
-Well…0.000001%
-So… I DO HAVE A CHANCE!

Once again the concept of efficiency escapes you.

You just described probability not efficiency.

You can still get rare drops I don’t know where you’re coming from on that…

You can still level alone, although if your build depends on you killing mobs without them retaliating your weakness is going when mobs retaliate so now you need someone who can cover for you. You can still level but it’s going to be difficult technically the same in ro. You just had fly wings there.

Point was that it’s not much different you can solo in both, it just took ages to get a level in Ro and you got used to that 1 spot because it was good almost forever.

theres only 1 option to play other builds.start a new character …

As I said btw I don’t know how it is in TOS right now… I only will be able judge it fairly when I will play it and get there myself.

But if the gap is too huge and there is no acceptable option then it is not good.

Like if in pre-renewal Ragnarok the only place where I could level after a time would have been the Thor dungeon or something…then it would have been pretty bad.

A lot of swordsmen builds are also going for pure dps stat allocations for god knows what reason. Ktos swordsmen that aren’t tanks have at least 30k hp at 280. Everyone in iTos is too used to ICBT2 to actually figure out that they may need survivability. That should clue in when you see mobs start fighting back after demon prison. There’s a map right after that on my Sorcerer where I thought I’m going to dump the next 30 levels over into con.

I also looked at videos though so for some people they may just think it’s maplestory tactics and not notice.

I see no issue with that, you can solo but its really hard and not very profitable. Its a MMORPG, there are plenty of RPGs available for those who want to play alone.

I know that’s why I said if you didn’t notice, you’re ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– . Unless you have a stat reset in your hands ofc.

The problem is that not every sw is a tank. This topic however is discussed already in bigger topics. The swordie class currently is a lacklaster and forcing you to pick circles and play them as a tank. Nvm, this topic has more than 1k post already, pointless to discuss it here.

@Ayalon …actually in old Ragnarok the best place was Clock tower to farm. :stuck_out_tongue: After that Seals came and they were hunted by many and so on… I remember spending my entire life in clock tower.

I know I said even non tanks.
The only thing I find unfair for swordies is that they have to fight up close and run to their targets. If pain barrier gave them a damage reduction they would be fine. Anyways wtv let’s not go on a tangent.

I did more than 8 just to level back on RO (vanilla) days. Wiki was non-existant. And exploring map, trying to find where to level, or how many exp you gain or even loot infos was not present. So yeah

Too bad you didn’t do a little bit of research, otherwise you could spare yourself from grinding. When I reached 175 I didn’t grind for even a minute, and after 175 you get another dungeon and more quests.

I think they should make whole world map to be opened from the start, so people can see where to go without googling world map.
