This suggestion is to add some type of food or “ingredients bag” purchasable from an NPC that works with the bonfire to further increase the speed of HP and MP regeneration.
I understand that this may only save around 1 minute for every bonfire but i think it would look really good, be quite fun and increase the interactive activities would slowly waiting for your HP and MP to regen.
Extended suggestion :
Another suggestion is that certain players who have a certain “recipe” can cook a specific food, this is purely cosmetic and has no function though. The recipe will give the player an infinite amount of times to cook that “recipe” as long as they have the food “ingredients” sold by the item NPC.
For example, a recipe for roasted chicken will show the animation of a roasted chicken above the bonfire.
I hope my suggestion will be taken into consideration, i mean seriously, imagine a bonfire with food, a tent and a food table from a squire… it’ll be so freaking cool
