Bokor viable for PvP?

Since you need hexing to do damage, how practical is bokor class in pvp ??

Personal thoughts:

  • I’ve heard hexing is hard to aim, is this true ?
  • Hexing is rank 2 debuff and be resisted by bloodletting/rune of protection and other stuff.
  • Efigy deals good damage.
  • no CC
  • mackangdal lvl 15 = 20 seconds of invincibility

A bokor>doctor build has enough to compete with krivis>druid in pvp ?

*I’ve never tested bokor, right now I am cleric 2 > krivis 3 but the krivis/druid gameplay is too dumb. I wan’t to build something less braindead and still be good in pvp

Very easy to aim, unless there’s Zombies/Companions moving around the target you’re trying to hit. You should use Mouse Mode or Mouse + Controller for PvP.

Correct. But Bloodletting duration was nerf’d in kToS for Team Battle and Guild Battle Arena, so that’s one less thing to worry about.

Effigy:Blind (Attribute) combined with Samediveve buff is your CC. Doesn’t work if you can’t maintain a distance against your opponent while they’re blinded though, and only practical in a 1v1 situation.

Assuming you keep your distance from getting Telepath’d by them while there’s ground skills active for them to walk you into (They can’t use their other skills while they have you under Telepath), or time Mackangdal right before they Telepath you, then yes. The damage you took from Mackangdal can then be cancelled by Safety Zone’ing before the buff timer on it runs out.

I meant against other classes, I was going druid for pvp but now I’m finding the gameplay very boring.

Thought about two builds, what do you think ?

Oh. Well, you could technically go both, by just switching your Cleric -> Cleric -> Bokor -> Bokor -> Pardoner -> Oracle -> Plague Doctor into Cleric -> Krivis -> Bokor -> Bokor -> Cleric -> Druid -> Plague Doctor

But Bokor’s DPS is only as good as your chance of debuffing with Hex. If your target has protection up, then you’re not hurting 'em.

But as for the 2 ones shown:

  • Cleric C1 - C2

  • You have 5 points remaining. You can place 1 into Fade, and the rest towards Divine Might.

    • Divine Might: +4 points
    • Fade: +1 points
  • Bokor C1 - C2

  • Tet Mamak La cannot be used without a Zombie summoned (Zombify). That aside, you have 9 points remaining, so 5 into Samediveve for the movement speed, 3 into Zombify, and 1 into Bwa Kayiman to keep them caught up.

    • Samediveve: +5 points
    • Zombify: +3 points
    • Bwa Kayiman: +1 points
  • Pardoner

  • This is fine.

  • Oracle

  • This is fine.

  • Plague Doctor

  • Healing Factor should always be at least Lv3, whether it’s PvE or PvP. Also, Bloodletting was nerf’d to the following in kToS PvP Arena’s, so you could safely reduce Bloodletting to Lv1 in favor of Healing Factor:

○ Duration becomes [15 + (Skill Level) × 2] Seconds in Battle League. ○ Skill Cooldown will increase by 20 Seconds in Battle League.

  • You might also want to consider 1 point into Fumigate, since Bloodletting only prevents debuffs, and doesn’t get rid of debuffs already applied.
    • Bloodletting: -3 points
    • Beak Mask: -1 points
    • Healing Factor: +3 points
    • Fumigate: +1 points

As for your second one:

  • Cleric C1 - C2

  • Save advice as the last build.

  • Bokor C1 - C3

  • Damballa cannot be used unless there’s Zombies present in the spot it’s casted. You have 9 points left, and after reducing Damballa to Lv0 you’ll have 14, so:

    • Damballa: -5 points
    • Samediveve: +9 points
    • Zombify: +3 points
    • Bwa Kayiman: +1 points
    • Ogouveve: +1 points
  • Pardoner

  • This is fine.

  • Plague Doctor

  • Same advice as the last build.

Only twice, and this was before the Bloodletting and Healing Factor nerf. Won one and lost one, the loss coming from enemy having a Plague Doc and the win coming from neither side having one. Touched it no more from there because of ping. Plague Doc was the main Bokor crutch in there and now it has its party immunity cut to a maximum of 25 seconds, + AFAIK Team League still not allowing pre-made parties.

Also had no probs killing in field GvG for a week (Unless outnumbered), and the only thing that would’ve changed that would’ve been an un-nerf’d Plague Doc (Or Runecaster but situations of running into those are few and far apart).

As for the roast,

NYC sux.

Thanks alot, very helpfull !!!

I think Ill be going cleric2>bokor2>pardoner>oracle>plague doctor, in theory it looks very good. also found a great video of this build (without oracle).

I wanna build something like that for pvp , does anyone think that could work? (pardoner is in there because i’m not sure about bokor c3 for a non zombie bokor)
