Bokor C3 or Diev C3 for Plague?

Right now I’m a C2 > Diev 3 > Oracle lvl 198 (current build: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/k7z6aa4b9f/). I have rerolled my Krivis 3 because I started to love Plague’s skills and now I’m wondering how good is Bokor 3 for PD? I know Diev and Bokor are really, really different paths but I’ve never played a Bokor before and I wanted to know some things before rerolling again. :sob:

Diev is way more supportive than Bokor and Bokor is way more dps than Diev, right? But I’m a little bit tired of playing diev because: 1- the only source of damage is cure and owls and I rarely use owls unless there’s a big group of mobs; 2- yes, I know I’m a support and shouldn’t care about damage at all, but people don’t know how to use statues; 3- i hate the fact that owls get knocked back; 4- most of time i’m standing there just healing

Sooooo… I’m thinking if I should try a Bokor instead of Diev, but I’m afraid I won’t be able to support as a supportive class. I have some questions…

1- What are the pros and cons of Bokor 3 > PD comparing to Diev 3 > PD?
2- How good is Bokor 3 > PD in late game content (PvE) and PvP?
3- Do people avoid inviting bokors to party because of the lack of supportive skills?
4- How viable is Bokor 3 > PD for Earth Tower? I’ve seen some people saying it’s really, really bad and some saying that it’s ok for ET.
5- I’m planning to do a C2 > Bokor 3 > Priest 1 > PD build. Can anyone give me some tips about which bokor skills i should lvl to have a good synergy with PD?

I know there are a lot of questions here, but I need to be sure before letting go of my diev 3 :sob: thank you so much for reading! :hearts:

  1. This will be lenghty:

Bokor:

  • Huge Area of Effect with pandemic.
  • Can hit all nearby enemies with ease.
  • Easy to use.
  • Can ditch bokor3 for additional support.
  • Hexing is an easy set / +2s up for incineration.
    ~ Damage is good, but not as high as a diev3.
  • Mackangdal is a less desirable invuln.
  • Damage in pvp can be drastically reduced via the rhevisian set.
  • Lower on support.
  • Mackangdal can backfire.
  • Struggles vs r2 condition prevention & removal. (pvp only atm.)
  • Zombies ai is crappy. (well, all ai in this game is crappy.)
  • Only 1 reliable debuff to scale incineration with.
  • Needs to spam sp potions.

Dievdirby:

  • Owls has the highest dmg for r3-6. (discounting krivis + oracle)
  • Scales well with int due to its 3 hits per owl attack every 3s.
  • 3 debuffs to scale incineration with.
  • CD reduction should be helpful when r8 hits with its bug fix.
  • Excellent support.
  • Good area pressure in pvp.
  • Ausrine is a far better invuln.
  • Owls have a small ish cone in which they attack in front of them. Owls can be tossed around by bosses with ease.
  • Statues are stationary obviously.
  • Far too long cool downs that limit the skills per fight.
  • Statues other than owl are killed quite easily in pvp.
  • Owls can be displaced to make ineffective.
  • Horrible dmg vs bosses when not placed properly or tanked properly.
  • Can’t slot out it’s third rank as easy as bokor can.
  • World tree does not work on bosses and in pvp can be prevented.

Basically;

  • Bokor is high aoe dps, easy to solo with. Low on support.
  • Diev is high but impractical dps, needs a linker and/or organised party to shine.

Mind you a bokor2/pardoner2/pd2 would probably have the best dps.
Chaplain/pd2 should have the best single target dmg. But the loss of cleric2 or pardoner is noticeable. (and it’s melee dmg is useless in et.)

  1. Bokor is excellent for pve. Though if you want to try et you likely need priest1 in it for the res.
    For pvp a bokor base is pretty darn horrible atm. Rhevisian set really screws it over.

  2. Haven’t seen it happen, but I do expect them to be less desirable for ET. (Though healing factor + spiritual link parties are quite good.)

  3. Manageable. I’ve seen attempts with far worse healers, plus healing factor + spiritual link is one of the op combo’s that can be used to clear floor 20.
    Just don’t expect it to be as popular as the diev or priest variants.

  4. Something akin to http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/8catdlsg7m/. But put more points into healing factor for an et focus.
