Biggest Concerns for this games future

I’m going to try and be as short and on point as possible.

1. Performance

This game runs terribly. No matter how good your machine is no one can get a solid framerate going and I’ve seen Korean and Japanese players on YouTube run the game 60 FPS just fine with 20 FPS drops. I don’t know what it is, but this game is badly optimized.

2. Class balance

Terrible class balance. There are classes that outperform others almost 10x times. It takes away peoples motivation to continue playing when they know that rerolling means having to suffer another 200 to 300 hours of questing / grinding and worst of all, it’s all the same ■■■■ you’ve done already. No one wants to abandon their main character. They rather just find a better game.

Swordmen become utter trash DPS after level 230.
Wizards become kings of damage.
Archers are only class that scales.
Clerics become insane with Plague Doctor and pretty much needed for everything.

This game is so broken. It’s like an elementary kid wrote all the class skills after playing League of Legends for a week and was just making fantasy skills for Champions instead of actual MMORPG characters that are supposed to be played for months.

3. Restrictions

Right move to remove the retarded team storage limitations of losing potential. There still are gross limitations everywhere. We can’t trade silver with other people face to face. Having dungeon runs be so limited as to 3 per day with premium benefits and then having dungeons give no loot except a small 1% chance of something useful is just absurd. It takes all the fun out of it if I just get to gamble.

People are level 280 and still running a level 200 dungeon solo just for a chance because the itemization in this game is horseshit. It’s absolutely terrible. I ran Saaluu mission and got a nice neck drop only to find out it requires an insanely rare drop 99x times which just made me realize there’s no way I can even farm this item and craft it.

People have already hit the level cap a week ago

The quests end at level 232 but people grinded their way to 280 only to just quit because there is nothing to do. Quests are slowly added but who cares? Rolling an alt gives you nothing but the same old boring experience and the same old dungeon run limitations.

I have a team level of 11 and all it gives me is 10% exp from kills. That’s literally nothing for owning 2x level 200 characters. It’s just pathetic.

I fear that those wanting a long term MMO experience in TOS will only get to play it for a year at best.

There’s way too many “traps” in this game

  • Do your stats wrong? You’re ■■■■■■ for life. Character ruined.

  • Do your class circles wrong? You’re ■■■■■■ for life. Character ruined.

  • Used your EXP cards at the wrong time? You’re ■■■■■■. Enjoy boring solo grind.

  • Disconnected in a dungeon? Don’t know you can re-enter? We won’t tell you! You just lost 1 out of 3 dungeon runs!

  • Rolled a character that isn’t a proven cookie cutter build of super performance? AKA wizard / archer? ■■■■■■! Reroll or you won’t get invited to any parties.

Im confused.

You complain about “boring solo grind”
but then say theres nothing to do at cap. All you do in this game is kill the same crap so whether you get there in an hour or a month doesn’t really change much, there isn’t exactly a wealth of different content to experience that justifies rushing to anything.

I do understand what you’re saying but… ToS have a lot of content, you know? If people are rushing towards cap level then they must be well aware that it is going to happen. So far i’m really having fun on this game like… It’s been a long time since i enjoyed playing a MMORPG so I don’t really have many complains about the game atm…

Actuallly, I like that
Making the best decisions become challenging.

Lmao. People make the issue worse than it is. Almost every class/decent thought circle combination is viable. Learn to play.

The points here are exaggerated but true, for the most part.

if your stats and circle are wrong, yes dude, build another one character.
it’s a nomal decision in mmorpg games.
today’s players just want to play an easy game.

Yes every circle combination is viable, lets take swordsman for example, you can sword/peltasta/x/x/x/x/x where x is anything, all you gonna use is swashbuckling anyway, but we have archer too you can get archer/x/x/x/x/x/ cannoner or archer/x/x/x/x/x Musketer or archer/x/x/x/fletcher c3, where x is anything because you are only going to use musketer or cannner or fletcher skills because their numbers are 100x of all the other low ranks skills.
Yeah almost every class is ok if you are a cleric or a mage, but the swordsman and archer trees are awful unfortunately =/

Wut? I’m doing archer-ranger3-fletcher2-musketeer and I can assure you, I’ll use every skill always.

Same with the musketeer builds that take falconeer for circling and QS

Clerics and Wizard will be pretty insane…

I hope archer get some really strong team damage, buff or crowd control utility in R8 and 9.

Swordsman guy complainning his dmg doesn`t scale as mages…

lol thats like… omg… all other rpgs ever?!

“I always roll a rock when playing rock papers and scissors, and rock is super under-power! I can’t kill paper at all and I can’t kill other rocks like paper do. Please fix!”

You mean players like to play good games, right, because what you’ve said here is just a mockery of rationality.

how do u know? do u know the skills for the future cleric and wiz classes?

Agree with a lot of these points it feels like another game that was rushed out of beta to quickly

Theres to many limitations placed on players, game is poorly optimized I go from 60 fps to 10 at a drop of a hat. Stats and skills i understand its a f2p korean mmo I fully expect to need to research my stats and skills to avoid screwing up but ill always have stat and skill resets to pay for and fall back on the punishment is that i have to pay real money to fix it. Circles on the other hand dont have this option and being locked into it is far more punishing than anything else in the game.

Idk maybe theyll slowly fix things they already fixed team storage a significant amount so im happy with that

If you’re playing on femidian I heard @balintszabo111 has some kind of refugee camp going for the low tiers.

The only legitimate thing I agree with is the Optimization- the game’s engine itself is pretty rubbish. But international games are pretty notorious for having faulty optimization when it comes to FPS. And it’s been said that they’re doing work to increase it, so we’ll cross that road when we get there.

  • The classes aren’t balanced. But there’s rarely a game that actually has balance, as it’s a constant revolution of strength and weakness. Without even a DPS swordie’s presence, Wizards and Archers will both get slapped silly and die in a few hits (Unless you’re a Con Wizard, then I do agree they deal too much damage). Healers are needed…for healing and support? Holy crap! I would have never known! But this sort of thing balances itself out as the game progresses and flourishes.

  • Dungeon running isn’t only for the drops- They provide what is essentially fast and simple EXP. If you allowed this game to have no restriction system via Dungeon running, you’d never need to go through the maps except for unlocking Goddess Statues. It’d become Dungeon of Savior strictly speaking once you hit 50. Level 200+ People still run the Level 90 dungeon because Arde Dagger has a hold on the economy due to it’s relevance to many Wizard and Cleric classes.

  • So people rush to endgame realizing they have to farm, with nothing much else to do? That basically sounds like any game ever on release. But yes. Endgame content is lacking, but I’m not sure what you expected so soon and right out of the gates.

  • The traps aren’t even that bad. So what, you have a slightly less optimal character than others? If it works for you, roll with it. That’s how people progress. Also, if you can’t get in elitist parties, then go for something more casual where people are just chilling and grinding for the sake of it and not for the fastest time. The flow of the game will have stronger classes and weaker classes, and they may ultimately switch spots. If you do your job, I don’t see how people could discriminate against you, the only exception I could think of would be how magic damage utterly chews Swordies regardless of their stats.

I think from a different perspective. And for some degrees, I could see where you’re coming from. But you’re really stretching the severity of some of these, the most harmful would be the FPS drops which may actually kill you regardless.
