Hello! I want to make a Pardoner that can make so much money (I’m poor :’) ) by making scrolls and selling buffs. I tried to search but there are so many I can’t choose and I don’t know which is better. Soo I want to ask here what’s the best pardoner build? Hoping for the link to the build
. Also, what should be the stat ratio for it and the gear and gems? Hoping for a good advice. Hehe!
Thank you very much!
Do not overestimate your profit.
Shop: priest3 pardoner2. Nothing matters, just level as fast as possible to level 175-177 for pardoner2. Open buff shop with blessing 15, aspersion 15, sacrament 10.
Scroller (simony):
Monstrance, aukuras, daino, zalciai, turn undead, restoration, barrier scroll: priest1 - krivis1 - paladin3 - pardoner1. Again, just level as fast as possible.
This is NOT true. Vendor classes as of now are public servants. They make little to NO MONEY (yes some vendors chose to sell at 0 profit) due to the nature of the free market.
If you want money, there are really 2 options: print your own via dg clears (300k per day per toon at 290 or 900k per day per toon at 170 dg) or trade for money via market (hunt high profile items and sell em at market).
What about the stats? Full spr or 20 int 20 con rest spr?
Aww…I’m also wondering about that also. Lowest price I’ve ever seen in a buff shop is like 200 and I’m like wtf ‘how will you earn like that’. Is there really no hope of getting profit if I make a pardoner?
In regards of the high profile items, what are those?
There is hope. It will all depend (IMHO) on IMC re-allowing pardoner stats to reflect in their buffs. In a free market environment we “compete” via the product and services one would provide. In tos we don’t get to control that. Everyone will be selling the same buffs. Everyone selling a lv16 [blessing] will be selling the same thing. Because of this the only way to compete is via pricing.
If we could modify the product then we don’t have to compete via pricing. There was a time in ktos where pardoners could sell buffs that reflected the vendor’s stats. 1 pardoner would sell [blessing] that added 700+ damage for x amount, while another pardoner would sell [blessing that added over 1k+ damage for more.
Your high profile items would be things like didel tower shield, hunting grounds drops, trash cards, etc
If you are completely new, trash cards are the way to go IF you can afford to spend your dg runs. If you can’t, then go for hunting ground gear.
There will be an issue you have to address if you wanna go this route. Market tax. If you are fine with a 30% market tax + 48hr lock on transaction silver then you’re good to go. Otherwise, you NEED a token.
Printing your own money is the “easiest” way. Doing this is GUARANTEED money. 170 dg clear guarantees ~300k per run (so ~600k without a token, ~900k with a token). On my server a token costs 3.5m. That means I need ~11 days running 1 character every day just clearing the 170 dg (usually 30-45 mins per run) to buy a token.
Again, it will take time (you need a farming toon so you have to lv 1 up) but the returns are guaranteed.
Any AFK shops won’t give you big profits. If you’re person that get work in real life or play other games then you receive enough money to buy daggers and cheap stuff or simply to sink attributes then you can make one… Try to sell at unique places like dungeon entrances or Alemeth instead towns…
Just for your reference, I basically manage to buy Token in silver after hoarding silvers and keep restocking every maintenance. Not much money to make but if you value your time, it works and you won’t buy TP for token only…
If you play 24/7 or want fast money you can just make dungeon farmer characters like Scout 3 or Pyro Fire Ball (before it get patched)
Aww. Guess it will take a long time to happen. LOL my motivation in making a pardoner is decreasing HAHA.
Alright. Thanks for giving me the items!!
Market tax hurts my heart so much but it’s okay. But when the time comes, I’ll buy a token
Moar money, more happiness.
I guess I’ll make a farming toon then. The lowest price of a token in my server is 2.5m. Hope it will take less time for me then lolol. I’ve researched some builds for farming, and they are:
- Archer c3 > Scout c3 > Falconer > Mergen
- Wizard > Pyro > Linker > Pyro c2 > Linker c2 > Thaumaturge c2 > Sage
Idk if I’m right about the Wizard one. Are these good builds? Which one is better?
Aww… But selling at unique places would mean less money, since certain number people go there compared to towns, having more people right?
Hmm… how much do you gain as profit in selling buffs? From what I see, Pardoners sell the buffs at a price that would not earn profit anymore, and it makes me wonder…
I guess fast money and making dungeon farmer is the way. LOL. Which one of the two is better?
Those are about right.
Archers are good for farming stuff that drops from flying monsters due to x2 damage to flying with a bow. The problem will be if you plan to use it for hunting grounds (HG) farming. IMC used a ■■■■ move and made a lot of HG monsters with [missile hole] by default. They take 1 damage from missile attacks/spells.
Your particular archer choice is good for clearing 170 dg for the 300k per run. It’s not optimized for anything else but good non the less.
Your wizard choice is particularly good for HG farming. Silver and gold mobs spawn occasionally that you can swell them and guarantee double loot n money when you kill them. I killed a non-swelled gold dawn maiden in 210 HG and it gave me 450k.
For 170 clear though, it’s not that good. Not bad, but not good either. The problem is the cd on [fireball] there will be A LOT of times you are waiting on cd’s. It can still do the job though (usually over 45 mins per run). It’s still money.
A chaplain can be a farmer too. It has a 0cd skill in [aspergillum] and can [heal]. You also get the opportunity to go pardoner ONE (1) for dispeller scrolls. They cost 400 silver to make. You can either use them for status effect immunity or sell them for around 100 profit per pcs at the market (people do buy). The benefit to this is you can list them and forget.
Aww…well, what do I do now? Does that mean I have to make the both of them? omagah
Selling the scrolls would mean another price war with other players right? orrr
If you don’t have a token go with the scout3 since there is not tax on hard silver.
The lowest I’ve seen is 100 profit (after taxes).
Alright. Thank you so much for the help!! You’re awesome!!
In case you don’t follow the ktos thread, both scout3 and pyro are getting screwed over.
Scout3
- all 0cd skills are getting 5 OH and 10s CD
Pyro
- all lvs of [fireball] are single hit only
Well…damn, that’s sad. What now? They not so good anymore for farming? D:
If you can make it fast enough go. I’m looking at chaplain now and he’s looking waaaaaaaaaaay better than both scout n pyro now.
I wouldn’t worry about the future changes so much with current builds you make! The tests aren’t final, and regardless of what happens, there will be resets.
I have both a Scout 3 and a Thaumaturge – I made them while in the same position that you are, poor! Well… I had intended to make the scout ages ago, for scan initially. They can find special locations with a unique headgear or item in certain locations on certain maps, once ever, on the character. These items aren’t incredibly valuable, though
Anywho, having made both… I have to recommend the Pyro-Linker-Thaum. It is useful much sooner than Scout. Split Arrow, imo, really needs a decent attribute investment and you do want good gear to clear the dungeon. The dungeon mostly used is now the 170 dungeon, and used to be 140. Conversely, the Thaumaturge route really just wants an Agny necklace. You have cool downs to worry about, but Swell Body will double your silver and drops – so a little additional time is worth it, with a cheaper investment.
That is what I have experienced, at least! Maybe I did something wrong with my scout :’(
I’m now sure if I can make it quickly hahah. I’ll think about it then
Thank you!
Oh noo… I’m confused now
With all these varying opinions, I don’t know what to make anymore
Hahaha don’t worry too much! You pick what sounds the most fun to play
Things can change in just a patch, and eventually there is the combat change occurring (with resets!).
Chaplains have sounded fun; I have seen people that adore them and people who say they’re a trap. Both Chaplain and Scout 3 will feel more like an auto-attacking class (except with a 0cd skill for Scout, so lots of pots!), as opposed to a spell-based class! What do you enjoy playing?
