Right now, and somewhat future proofed: any Miko/PD2 build.
Though there is a high chance druid3 will overtake other builds at rank 9 & 10, given that they double their magic attack.
There is no real way to say anything about the future.
The problem about your question is that your question states “build” yet you refer only to simple classes that have recieved an additional Circle with the Rank 8 update (Druid being Rank 6, Plague Doctor Rank 7 and Taoist a Rank 8 class). Those classes can be analyzed on their own or as part of a certain build, and, depending on the “class synergy” with lower circles in the build, become weaker or stronger.
On their own, Druid is currently the most versatile of the classes since it can easily switch between physical and magical combat, has the ability to access certain monster-only skills to boost his stats, temporary invincibility and a good DoT-AoE skill.
Plague Doctor might have the best damage output burstwise via Plague Vapors and Incinerate, however, he’s heavily reliant on debuffs to damage enemies (similar to Bokors Effigy&Hexing combo). He’s highly status resistant [Beak Mask + Bloodletting] and hard to kill [Healing Factor].
Meanwhile, we can’t really say anything about Taoist yet, since only the 1st Circle is out. However, it already provides great synergy with any build that includes a high level Zaibas {Storm Calling Charm], and a very strong DoT/damage per hit skill [Creeping Death Charm]. Since the future might provide even better attributes & skills for the Taoist, he’s potentially the strongest class of all three, because he can use all of his skills to buff/debuff and attack by blowing the charms up; however, he’s also the most expensive one because his charms cost a lot of money to use.
So, any build with PD has a solid damageoutput, healing and status ailment-preventing buffs, so it’s ± the Jack of all trades for magic.
Any build with Druid can profit from monster transformation buffs and Werewolf transformations as well as AoE damage and temporary immunity (with up to 50% uptime) without protection limit [Iron Skin and Safety Zone have a hit limit e.g.] + 30-50% of the time doubled attack/matk and skilllevel increase during Hengestone[ only affects Clerics in the party, though].
Any build with Taoist has some versatility because it can provide damage, temporary invisibility, elemental resistance and Lightning elemental boost. Besides that, it’s hard to see what IMC has planned for the next 2-3 Ranks, but Taoist is sure to get more charms with more buffs/debuffs and thus more damage as well (because he can blow up every single charm for damage).
What about’s this build?
Cleric c3 >> priest c1 >> Krivis c3 >> Taoist
I plan for blessing to double a heal’s hit
16 tiles x 2 (from blessing) x 2 (overheat) = maximum 64 hit !!!
I don’t sure that blessing still double a heal?
can u guy confirm me?
no , it has super high downtime, and is super expensive. and cleric c3 is not needed. and your dps is terrible on that uild
Cleric2>Bokor3>Pardoner/Miko>PD2
is currently the cleric meta for magic Cleric DPS
you can change rank 6 to preist, but pardoner and miko are way better than preist for this build. preist gives heal double dmg, but
miko and pardoner > heal double damage
only bad thing is that its dark, and in pvp dark isnt that good due to the bracelet
Just drop the Priest, you can buy Blessing scrolls to increase your Heal damage (which is lower than 2x damage at later levels, because Blessing adds a fixed damage number based on skilllevel, attributes and your INT/SPR) and exchange it for Miko.
While Cleric 3 itself is fine, it’s not meta for DPS because it just adds utility mainly (longer Fade/Divine Might/more Heal tiles + ability to mitigate damage via Guardian Saint). Cure is ok, but since it has a hitlimit, Hamaya of Miko is far more superior, because it provides AoE damage without hitlimit, which your build lacks [Cure,Heal,Zaibas, all comes with a limited number of hits per use, meaning they are less effective on larger mobs].
Taoist is decent enough to take on stronger monsters in this setup, so I don’t understand why it would be bad DPS besides the fact that every skill in your arsenal has a rather lenghthy CD time. You could drop 1 Cleric Circle for 1 Circle of Dievdirbys to solve that problem (20% CD time reduction, “free” warps everywhere and SP consumption reduction + additional damage vs. Plant monsters and increased weight limit isn’t that bad of a deal), but that’s your choice.
While I’m currently enjoying my Bokor, I can’t say that Bokor is a really good meta for magic DPS just based on the fact that you can curse and damage your enemies nonstop with Hexing&Effigy.
Maybe a decent choice if you skip the zombie skills.
Plague Doctor is a good choice, but only going PD for the sake of damage feels bad, because you lose out to the potentially better Taoist just to become another meta build that might fall off later on.
Basically right now it’s a gamble to say “build x is better than build y” and the fact that a meta build with PD is good is still Rank 7 mentality where everyone thought that PD was the only viable choice for Cleric vs. Druid/Oracle C2 and Kabbalist C1. PD became better indeed, but so did the other classes with Rank 8 update.
It’s your choice to select the proposed meta cookie cutter build over your own one or modify yours a little and dive into the adventure of playing a Cleric.
Hey, how is the 2x matk applied? I mean, is it during WW mode, Henge Stone or what? (and how long do that last for/what skills can I use with it)
It’s from hengestone, lasts as long as you’re transformed so has really easy upkeep.
Works on all skills but telepath so far, but we currently can’t auto attack while transformed. (But can when using Out of Body.)
(There was a recent ktos vid of a chap/druid who could auto attack, so it likely will get fixed.)
the +5k is lycanthropy’s skill dmg only.
