As a first char, i recommend cleric with zaibas (krivis)… Easy to survive, saves pot money, awesome for solo… U can use this char to explore and get a feel of the game first then make a 2nd char to your preference…
I haven’t made one personally, but you should lurk the Wizard boards if you’re interested. I know that max Frost Pillar is a must for the most efficient CC. 1% freeze rate may sound awful, but that chance counts for each tick and you’ll freeze more often than you think, and if anything the vacuuming effect is really powerful.
I started learning the game as wizard found out really fast that you need SP potions. You should work on max SP equip very early and buy alchemist potion from market instead of normal potions, they might look expensive but when you check the amount of silver per SP its a lot cheaper.
If you need to change weapon don’t buy at normal store either always check market first
I would say cleric because you can just queue up for every dungeon and not have to worry about not getting a cleric.
for a newbie, a class where you can make just a few mistakes is swordman, because his goal is actually be a “tank” or a dps" and its intuitive.
also any class where you spend just 1 rank in everything is bad, so read the forums about classes find your game style in youtube videos see a few guides.
and everything will be fine, this is not a competency for the coolest and fun class ever.
BUT if it would be one featherfoot for the win.
just look all that blood men, just my favorite rank 7 class i mean nobody else make your enemys bleed like that.
As some have said, it really just depends on what you find fun.
Do you like to heal or support? Play with the dead? PvP and wear a mask? Check out the cleric branch.
DPS? Hit stuff really quick? Do some nice AoEs, single target, or a little of both? Archer is for you (also going to be making one, way fun.)
Tank? Look awesome? Do some decent dmg (but we’re not gonna pretend it’s on par with mage or archer DPS.) I personally like swordsman because Fencer + Corsair (especially when rank 8 & 9 comes out) is fast action. Corsair also has a flag that helps drop some loot & extra money. Just be ready to take Pelt 1 unless ur into hard mode getting a party.
Summon monsters? Make stuff bleed? Just have all kinds of nifty animations and tricks? Wizard then.
Do what you find fun. I think there is some fun to be had in all branches.
u wont need much sp lol, it scales if u level so u wont need any points into sp, wizard spells cost more sp than any class so gettign sp pots only counts torwayds wizard
I didnt put any point in sp either I made max sp gears for early level and it help a lot
