Best class for solo farming?

Hi everyone, I started playing the game despite the reviews I read. It has its moment.

I am looking for a solo class that can farm silver and items at later stages, as I dont party much due to my odd hours. Any tips and advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Necro afk for silver

For items i would suggest a archer class either scout or quarrel based make good farmers.

Wizard 3 Linker 2 Thaumaturge 2 alchemist 1 (for varnalessa cheese). Farming the kugheris at the lvl 300+ maps net you with a lot of pure silver per hour.

Wiz, Pyro 2, Linker 2, Thauma 2, Sage

Casual, easy, requires little investment, can farm everything and anything with only small time and silver investment.

TBH all builds relying solely on Pyro2 for DPS are going to be completely dead when they nerf Agny.

But agny is never going to be nerfed. ><
It’s a necklace that does not give magic defense and cant be transcendent.

imo cleric is the way to go if you are a solo player.

I have not gotten to farm for the 315 items yet but so far plague doctors plague vapors is really nice because it spreads to many mobs. clerics can heal and have safety zone and healing factor so it gives them a huge advantage for farming purposes. something like a bokor 3 > miko > plague doctor can easily solo 290 with a 5 hammer ( I have not tried to fight armaos yet)

plague vapors is also good for lower level areas with many mobs that don’t die in 1 second such as the free dungeon called church east building. I find that I always have some attack I can use on a mob + bokor has a skill that slightly increases your running speed and has a few useful crowd control spells. bokor zombies + purple skulls can attract lots of mobs. cleric is just to damn useful. also clerics can dispel or prevent a lot of status effects. ~sigh~ I really need to be nerfed.

for mages you might have to worry about getting low on hp unless you invest enough into taking 1 damage from everything or can avoid damage. but haste is really nice as are sage portals + you can sometimes reincarnate some bosses if you are a chrono.

i’m hoping they will build in the % modifier to the pyro skills and all other classes then nerf agny to 50% like they seem to imply they will do. they think that won’t force pyros and PDs to wear agny but 50% is still very powerful.

I also hope they realize wughi should not have to hit mobs in order for their poison to spread. auto poison spreading is awesome for mass killing things. spreading dots is a cool mechanic regardless, if it is nerfed I hope it is still cool.

when you said varnalesa cheese… because they have access to varnales thus they can spam chapparition card easily right?

They already mentioned it was being nerfed when discussing the new combat changes. It will essentially be as strong as a couple bonus skill levels.

That wouldn’t really make sense. They’d basically be changing a rank 2 class to be equal or higher DPS than rank 5+ classes. They made it a point that they’re going to be letting low rank classes scale better in general - since Pyro is already one of the low rank classes that scales the best, even without Agny, it seems unlikely that they’ll not be considerably weaker.

However it might also make pure DPS Wizard builds viable - since this change should also make Quick Cast much, much weaker for the same reason it’ll make Agny weaker. So Pyro2/3 -> Elementalist or Necro or etc. might be a possible build that isn’t totally overshadowed by Wiz3.

Don’t get me wrong, Pyro/Linker/Thauma will still be a build, especially since Swell Arm and Swell Brain will probably become % buffs instead of flat, but it’ll definitely be way more of a support and less of a solo build.

Yep, it’s a great thing to have.

Does anyone know the DPK of mobs currently? I stayed about 2hrs and did not get any metrial from the orange weapons: /

I see nothing about pyro being “dead” after agny nerf.

"… As for accessories, the Agny Necklace, an item with rather peculiar options, will now increase the factor of fire property skill attacks by 50%.

Say, if Fireball has an attack factor of 230%, with an Agny Necklace equipped it will expand to 280%.

Along with this, we also want to readjust the attack factor of a few fire property skills to be more effective even without depending on the Agny Neckalce.

We expect to follow the same approach with future attack type-specific accessories, although we don’t intend to base any balancing plans around specific items."

I didn’t say Pyro would be dead, I said relying solely on Pyro as your DPS.

New Agny will be an additive 50% damage boost based on their example. Current Agny is something like a 200-300% additive damage boost depending on the skill.

If you’re implying that changing Pyro skills to scale % based will end up being a net buff overall - probably not compared to pre-nerf Agny levels, and they also have competition from every other class, especially low rank classes, getting the same change applied.

I’d be really really surprised if builds with just Pyro for damage are still considered good DPS after this.

Thanks, Ill go for Plague Doctor as my main character then. I like being able to self heal, since Ill be solo farming most of the time!

I think the best solo build is Cleric 1 - Cleric 2 - Bokor 1 - Diev1 - Diev2 - Miko - PD1- PD2. Diev2 for World of Tree(silence) and Owls, Bokor has effigy, hex for debuff and maybe zombies. The rest dispenses further explanations.

I’d like to share a certain build I’ve been using to farm drops from low spawn rate mobs such as Lizard Ambers from Upents or Battle Bracelets from Galoks.

Pyro~Linker~Thaum~Chrono 3~Sage, similar to the Pyro 2 Linker 2 Thaum 2, but you have access to Haste 10(+15 movement speed on a 100% uptime), Reincarnate, and pass, which kind of alleviates the lower damage output you have in exchange for the ability to roam around faster and the ability to revive mobs.

When I solo farmed, I have no trouble with taking damage since those monsters only dealt 1s on me. Getting the thaum skills really helps solo farming pay off.
