Best class for newbies to get items/zeny

Hello. I don’t have a beta key but I’m extremely excited about ToS and already have started planning my character, so I can create it in a month or so…

I used to play RO 10 years ago but I have always been bad at build/equipment planning, usually there was someone who assisted me. My favourite class was priest, generally a full support build but back then I could have relied on friends to find equipment for me.

Since I will be starting this game, when it goes public, completely alone, I’m afraid choosing a cleric class would be a bad idea (I’ll definitely go for pardoner/oracle as my second character, though!) because I’ll be unable to get items/zeny properly…

I heard swordman is the best when it comes to PvE. Which class exactly? What should be my build/skill path?

Thank you for help in advance.

Whatever you do and its potential depends on how you make it, If you wanted you could go full support as a priest and give people weapon buffs that physically doubles their damage. Or you could go a tank route and try to build a wall of stone out of yourself, penetrable.

You’re right but I mentioned my lack of experience and not being sure how shall I build my character and which class exactly shall I choose in order to be able to gain zeny/items alone (without the need of relying on someone else) fast.

Have already made up my perfect and most enjoyable character but first I’d rather have some other, I could be farming well with.

Bumping
Maybe someone else can add something.

Zeny lol.

For me i’ve been able to buy a pet around lvl 38 (that’s 100k) just by AoE farming with Pyro. Late game money goes by the name of Alchemist, and while Pardoner and Squire can do also, I’ve heard they’ve been nerfed a little bit in that regard (scrolls not so powerfull, for example).

I’m curious as to where there is a map with a high-enough density to make that much? I am a lvl40 pyro now also.

First of all: I didn’t buy any pots, nor equipment outside the auction (staff plus +3 = 10k aprox).
Then, the first 50-60k were made before finishing the Mine (try lvl 2), there are a few grinding spots and with enough luck you can get a full inventory of items to sell. These places are usually come-and-go for most people because they usually tunnel vision the main quest or they actually don’t like grinding.

Then, it gets more difficult both in drop rates and people around you, but the drops are more valuable (aprox 1k per piece). Don’t buy anything but a few bonfires, and grind for 1-2 hours while switching channels, fireball + energy bolt, or earthquake if you have it.
