Any class and or build suggestions for high latency players?
Was considering a high STR Hoplite, or a DEX based Cataphract.
If you have other suggestions, please let me know.
I am from south east asia, my latency will be 200-300ms due to physics and geographical distance. I will have very minimal packet loss though as I have access to a DS3 as an Internet connection.
Notice: This thread is about dealing with the problem. This thread is not about complaining on a East coast only server.
I am from SEA as well, i noticed playing wizard and archer, as in the range classes were more laggy compared to the melee classes.
I played INT druid.
my build was like: cleric> Krivs > krivis> bokor > bokor > druid
the reason for this was to have lots of invincibility skills and single target dps for world bosses.
World boss drops are based on damage dealt from what i remember.
Some people say even if you do little damage you can get the drops.
With the build i was using I was invincible most of the time and was able to deal really high dps on the boss plus support my party members.
Hmm. So caster classes are doable with high ping.
Never tried caster classes, only tried Hoplite and Cataphract during beta.
Anyone with melee character experience on high ping?
