What would be the best map for these at high level? I’d say Lanko 26 Waters (only level 333, with warp statue for quick access, mostly physical hitters)… but almost 90% of the challenge parties I see go for Sausys 9. I don’t get it… It’s the second most annoying map (after Valandis and its clowns) with those book mimics and their bitchslap attacks that can hit you anywhere on the screen and ruin your equipment at light speed… Maybe it’s because it’s the most crowded map so it’s easier to generate the portal?
Exactly this. Plus mobs have relatively lower hp compared to other maps so it’s easier to kill them.
I used to solo in epherotao for the masinios mats but after doing sausys 9 a few times with guildmates, my mind has changed. I find that there will always be a portal up after finishing a run, so I just change chars and rush to get to the portal. As opposed to epherotao, where I used to spend 15-20minutes just to make a purple mob spawn.
Sausys mobs are also small giving AAR users full use of their AAR.
The best challenge mode map is the map that has mobs that will drop mats you need to craft equips. I.E. If you need yakyak horns, might as well do challenge modes in Tekel.
