hi, i’m testing dragoon at the moment with this build https://tos.neet.tv/skill-planner#1111444ff.233f5f6785.12273f5a617a.1a233a4255
and works pretty well, the downside are cds… using gae bulg then long stride+serpentine+dethronex2+lunge+dragonthoot hits pretty hard, ofcourse you will never achieve something like a fencer or a doppel can do ( i doubt any class can match doppel atm) ´but its good and during the event i tried something like this https://tos.neet.tv/skill-planner#1134464fc.233555.13223545.14253f4a617a.45b5.15223543.1123334573 wich worked way better than i had expeted… even better than dragoon… since gae bulg and frenzied slash work pretty well…
i dont recommend maxing both long stride and spear lunge…normally players would only put 1 point on each of those skills
Spear Lunge is actually amazing now.
Also… Spirit on a swordsman is actually a huge joke, potions are so cheap and even if you are fighting a boss that takes longer than usual you can pop a shop potion which doesn’t share the same cooldown as a player crafted one.
100 con as a swordsman is quite questionable Sure status points don’t make that big a difference overall anymore, but that doesn’t mean you just throw a bunch into spirit and con for a pve build…
both of those skill are the hardest hitter on the hoplite arsenall (spear stab is just useless because it consume 3.5sec in wich you cannot move and is clunky for a measly 15 hits of 9x% each…) wich works quite well with dragoon, just starting with gae bulg then jumping with long stride (long stride will hitx2 thx tho gae) then go serpentine+spear lunge (it has 2 overhits with a mod of +600% making your next skill hit hard as fuck with serpentine) then if you can get gae+serpentine+lunge debuff until you launch dethrone x2, then you surely will hit the cap dmg without too much trouble and investment… the problem are the huge cds…
im not really familiar with dragoon skills but since u said there are synergies with hop skills then i guess it was worth the skill points
but isnt long stride got like a 1min cd and its animation is as long as spear stab
fking stupid noob trap, lucky that combat change that favor for that noobtrap build
Really? Are we going to use personal insult rather than constructive criticism in an argument now?
Now to answer your SPR question, I will summarize what Author said:
- IMC said that they will make sure that no one CAN ignore SPR stat
- You will only get 60 attack power if you put everything into STR
- Your SP potion can’t keep up with skill spamming -> no skill used -> no damage
Let me do some disclaimer (just in case someone decides to cherry-pick me):
I only quote what he said, that’s it.
If you think I quote it wrong, there’s a source you can look up.
I don’t like to sound rude, but you’re missing the points of buff specially the squire foods.
Str gives way more than 60p. Attack… Even more if you if you consider Gung ho, plus the accuracy of it, in the case of Dex… There’s only one build that can get off without dex wich involves picking cata+Lancer since their innate block pen, almost all other need to reach over 150 with gear to not be annoyed with block (et and hg mobs block a lot)
Except that you CAN ignore spirit, so the author is misleading people with that. Maybe that will change in rank 9+ but that certainly is not the case right now. Hence why people may say negative things about the build (I don’t think the guide is bad personally, but I am against the Spr and over-invested Con).
It’s okay to say negative, but it’s not okay to say it with insult.
That’s the difference.
Besides, I could rephrase it this last sentence easily without all those insults:
The build is trap, combat change makes this build works.
As for SPR, I personally have no comment, just quote and that’s it.
