what is atm the fast build to get alchemist to c2?
Fast just to get to C2 would be Wiz 3 - Linker 2
If you want to do Awakening easily or maybe get to C3 later on, then Pyro 2 - Linker 2

Actually, Wiz 3 - Linker 2 should also be able to get to C3 fast, but will suffer doing stuff at R8 content

When it comes to grinding,
Pyro circles = more hits
Linker circles = more targets
Pyro 2’s damage is enough. What you’d want is to be able to hit more things.
Lots of INT, optional (depending on your gears) bit of CON.
pyro2link2 is really fast
more link = faster level, easier dungeon, easier grind
pyro3link1 for saalus/dg rush
you don’t need a lot of link lv bcoz u aren’t sage that copy fire ball
you can let other linker(c2-c3) link your fire ball lv15 instead
Pyro2 Link2 is better. You don’t get link2 just for the number of links but also the hit count before the link breaks.

but i won’t say pyro2link2 is better than pyro3link1
it’s good in different situation
pyro2 link2 are more all round, better in grinding, dg, quest, mission(solo)(corporated)
better link is always better and pyro2 have enough damage do handle things
pyro3link1 is more in mission(random) saalus(random) or corporate with other link3
link1 is bad but u don’t need to link your own balls, u can let other do that job
pyro3 have big upgrade from pyro2
sometimes u don’t even have time to do fire ball link combo
and u just throw the ball, fire pillar, fire wall, then hell breath
