Hi, I am currently a Monk class and i’m curious about the armor type that I should get for my class.
I’m a Str/Dex build, while Dex is more than Str and a little bit of CON.
My skill uses stamina and its spammable. Please help.

im going to go monk to and i think going plate is the best choice and it seems your dex is higher than str so plates the most reasonable option
Plate means more stamina…more stamina more punch…more punch more damage ^^
I somewhat disagree here because, the amount of my dex results in higher of evasion, if I choose to use leather armor, my evasion is ridiculously high. Any other thoughts on this?
I think in this case you know what you want.
Plate is preferable for Monks unless you feel strongly towards leather.
Can’t rely on evasion in higher levels, even crit Monks of the past don’t rely on their evasion either.
But your playstyle matters more than absolutes.
Besides for Plate’s stamina to matter, first you have to invest time and money for Plate Mastery lv50, so it’ll be a while until it matters.
Hidden quests that gives stamina pots matters more early on.
Haven’t you seen the solo lv160 monk video on a lv130 dungeon wearing Cafrisun set
Thank you for your opinion, now I’ve a very clear vision on what I should get, I would like to get a plate armor type then…
Im a lvl 190 Monk, I have my Leather mastery full level, I currently having no problem solo any map, I’m using Roxona leather set so that I think stamina ain’t a big problem cause Roxona leather boot gives me 25 more stamina.
But then I would like to try out Plate armor. I might start to learn the plate mastery attribute.
I might like to receive more opinion from you, whether the decision of getting Plate mastery now is a good idea?
It is, it’s more for survivability - Plate basically is so you can stay alive longer and punch longer. But it’s not the only way. If you have the spare cash, invest in it slowly.
It will give you a slight boost in defense and stamina and hp, so it’s more when you have to focus on a support role (both buff-wise and dps-wise). Switch back and forth and get a feel for it - the armor type is not a game breaker, the bonuses (like your Roxona’s stamina bonus) are more important. (Although you can get receive more damage using a certain type of armor against a certain enemy’s damage type - but ain’t go no time to think about that)
Thank you very much for your information again.
