This boss is a special case, it has a coma attack (reduce hp to 1 if you have safety wall, insta death if none, and it’s magic which you can’t block). I died twice before knowing what hit me.
Mythology wise, taken from heroes of might and magic 3, gorgon has the capability to kill it’s prey with death stare.

I’m not near the traps, look at my buffs. And I’m not jumping because I can kill the boss easily without having to avoid the damage, but then again, he uses that attack and blows me.

13k damage, yeah since the damage is white i can say that your character literally killed itself for some reason.
Maybe now he learned to not underestimate level of monsters LOL.

Just because you may be running on a tank build or is higher level than what you are killing, don’t mean you have to take hits, you are supposed to keep the enemy on you but do avoid damage as much as you can, for your sake and for the sake of your party.
Some bosses can “shotgun” you also. Its an attack with multiple hits that if you stand too close may hit multiple times at once.
13k damage that’s impossible.
especially from quest bosses and on a tank build.
i only take around 500 damage max from quest boss as wiz with full cloth armor so this is indeed a bug.
Lol I got One Shot by this same guy on my 120 Cata with 12k HP. Lesson learned, I now dodge that attack on my Alts. Haven’t died since. (The first time he caught me in a lockdown on my Cata.)
can confirm, got one shooted as well there.
Same bug appears in ktos back in January, I’m surprised they haven’t fix it yet. Seems only low damage class noticed it lol, seems to happen if you dragged the fight over a period of time.
This guy has Death Sentence as a skill and another skill that is a OHKO. Learn that as a paladin with revive active …
sometimes happens to me during the Silaui mission. Then again the times it tends to happen is when I’m matched with someone 10+ levels higher.
But I recall making a mental note that it’s also happened when in a party I was the highest level (bosses/mobs scaled to me). Just an instant Full HP to zero. Where most attacks an abilities would hit for 10-20% tops. Something suddenly instant KOs. I never bothered to see if it were some unique ability or what not a
Yup, it happened to me. It’s the boss’ special move. I’ve fought a low level gorgon and it one-shot me too. Solution? Just move around the boss when it looks at you, so it never targets you with frontal moves.
Oh i remember this boss at gytis [?]. I got 1 hit by that skill too. I think its a dark property skill. I think this one is intended? >.<
its Eye of Death debuff. if you see very closely in your video, the debuff lasts for split second. Its an instant kill debuff if triggered.

It’s not a bug. This boss has an attack that is a 1 shot, however it gives you plenty of time to see that it’s coming and get out of the way. You are supposed to, you know, get out of the way of that attack and not get hit by it. It rears back before doing it, so if you see it start doing the rear back run behind it (it won’t change direction while doing it’s rear back of this attack).
Yea I know, the first time I wasn’t prepared, and since I can tank pretty well didn’t bother dodging him, so yea, I learnt the lesson
