The damage on it seems really lackluster even with cloak.
IA has lower %, but will one shot linked enemies, whereas my Behead won’t.
Is that because my AoE ratio is too low?
Assassin is pretty lame at least compared to Bullet Marker to kill linked mobs (Which I Swell Body on). My HG Farmer I have I first tried Assassin for damage, and it’s nothing close to Bullet Marker’s AoEs with linked mobs.
Even with AoE cards and gear, I don’t think Assassin is that good, especially with the higher CD of Annihilation compared to Bloody Overdrive and lack of Overheats.
That’s my opinion.
They Overtune Bullet marker way to much Anyway.
Bloodyoverdrive and Anihilation are equal strong in terms of Dps.
But Bo has 2 Oh more Aoe ratio even a lower Cd time.
And when they buff hassias in some Futurepatch Bm gets buffed from it too 
Theres a reaon why Bm is the most popular class in the game now ^^
There are quite a few buffs coming for assassin other than hasias giving crit damage. Like Annihilation havung sure crit for hp<30%. Behead has reduced damage but 2 OH and ignores part of defense. Pierce heart gets buffed by hastening bleed cycles but gets 3 OH instead of 5. - - - changes mentioned are from my very rough translation. It is probable I misunderstood a lot of things.
In the end, BM is still significantly stronger I think.
Something to add, is that PH will ignore 50% of the enemy def too.
As a standalone classes, anyway, they don’t perform that good in pvp anyway, since BM will lack mobility and Assassin will lack range.
It’s a good idea to combo the classes and, now that we get pen on some assassin skills, is even better to counter peltas/murms.
Last class, if we were still going for a full PvP oriented build, would be either Outlaw or Corsair. Even more with the upcoming changes for both those classes.
For a farmer you better off with BM or Outlaw. Assassin is great for PvP content with it’s debuffs. Farming with Assassin also could take longer time due to the longer cd. That’s like asking pre-rebuild why my Link-Thau-Chroni can’t farm as well as Link-Thau-Ff. They serve a different purpose.
