People need to realize that gaming isn’t just for entertainment. It’s a business.
I’d say 74% of that population would have quit anyways. Yes, this is me kind of White Knighting, but all MMO’s go through that, and being that this game is in a very niche market. Specially for Westerners. (Granted it usually takes longer than ToS’s situation.)
Telling people if you don’t like it; to just quit isn’t quite right either. It doesn’t help the situation. I know quite a few of the complainers actually love the game and wish it was run better. Me too.
Problem is; it’s a very over-saturated business. The big thing is, in the sea of F2P games, there really aren’t many good ones. This is actually the first (Besides POE) that I have felt invested in and been willing to drop cash, a decent amount as well. I’ll continue to play Tree of Savior until it’s doors close because again; there is nothing like it on the market for me.
I mean, when a game does something I don’t like, or has a bug that annoys me, I just play another game while keeping an eye on the former.
In a world where there’s literally tens of thousands of games, why get so hung up over one? I’m guilty of this in the past but, I’ve come and gone through many games now that’ve been through similar stages as ToS right now that I’ve grown to understand the industry and the work it takes from the dedicated people behind the games. And the toxicity I’m seeing in this game/forum is just disgusting.
Have some sympathy for the devs here guys. They’re a small team being pressured by a large company and by the demands of the international community (watch rank 8 be implemented WAY too early and be full of bugs because “OMG, we want rank 8 naow!”). They might not even know how to properly fix or find the bugs that’ve been around for so long, nor might they be able to afford it.
I’ve been mad at games in the past too for similar things pretty much everyone here has expressed one way or the other. But being toxic about it all is only going to make things worse. Both by demoralizing the devs (and or making them leave, therefore, smaller team) and driving players away. Unless you actively want this game to die (yet hypocritically claim to be passionate about it), why do you keep being so toxic? Just sit back, chill, and pick another game to play for a while. Come back later.
Slow golf clap Very well put!
seriously?, I have already done this work as well as they have done many, but continuous with the same problems year ago, adding new bugs that come with every maintenance.
There are already enough IMC-asskissers that flag threads for deletion. These kids are the real problem here. Various anti-IMC threads have disappeared over the past days.
On a sidenote take a look at these
https://forum.treeofsavior.com/t/my-account-has-been-wipped-out-is-this-a-bug-can-a-roll-back-be-requested/321526?u=kurayami1234&source_topic_id=321313Are you guys really satisfied supporting such a failure of a company? That maint was supposed to fix things, instead it made the situation far worse. Bugs appearing out of nowhere, stuff missing… Is that how a good company manages a game?
You do realize more than half of those issues were either fixed on the second maintenance or confirmed to be fixed later right? Especially the most important ones (first 2 and last one).

The game came out in KR because of pressure from Nexon. The game came out internationally because of demand from the same players who are now bitching and moaning about it being too early.
Stupidity is to play and attend a forum of a game that you think is unplayable and no fun. There is nothing more stupid than that.
I can understand whiteknighs, i can’t understand people like you.

It really makes no sense to me when players complain that the game is unplayable yet still play it. One can only be a masochist to continue doing something that is not fun at all. No one is pointing a gun at you for not playing the game.

Yea, GM don’t really patrol~ LOL (Sarcasm)
so pls, no more fancy things, just focus on fixing bugs.
I’m afraid that is not a legit possibility either, not only that would put them way behind in patches compared to kToS, which will take longer for us to catch up later, but also wouldn’t help as we’ll keep getting bugs anyway on every update or major one, that being said, I have yet to see a single kMMO actually prioritizing that while totally ignoring updates and cash shop, not everyone is asking for the same thing, while you want the game to be fixed, some people are still looking for more costumes to purchase, waiting for R8 etc…
I don’t really understand what’s the full logic behind refusing to do this, but I can guarantee you its fair enough so that no company finds that as a solution, you can’t simply pause everything for bugs, its not as if all the IMC employees are bug fixers and they need to stop what they are doing to focus on bug fixing alone.
