Be a support in a dung is a CHAOS in this game

Hello there,

Yesterday was my first day doing a dungeons (LVL 50) as support with my Cleric and I have some questions…

1 - How can I know if people have my buffs or not? the UI just show the HP and Mana party but not my buff on them.

2- Mybe Is just me or this low level dung, but do a dung is a CHAOS in this game, I mean… all people run around like a chicken; and you try to do your work but it is imposible becuase everybody is far away and avoid your heal tiles, etc?

3 - How do you do your work as support in a dung?.

Thanks

Heal tiles be enough when u get lv10 heal, 2 charge of heal, first charge set on side, far from monster (prefer at top of screen, easy to see it), last charge use on tanker standing area(must have remove heal dmg attribute).

Another tip, once u set ur first charge, then set another charge as fast as posible(spent both then will start cooldown), so u can get faster to next heal.

is the 1 dungoen , the times i did it , every1 was toguether , tank jumped in and we all killed the mobs , clerics keep heal behind so didnt get wasted by mobs that walked by, the safety zone is awesome use it all the time…outside that buff when every1 is gathered toguether , if every is spread , use chat , gather for buffs! (every1 love buffs!) , if some1 doesnt want to come , just buff and move on…having 5 players waiting for 1 is a bad idea.

I partied with a priest 3 chap 1, all heals are near the boss. So when we step on the heal, the boss does AOE attack or normal attack. Im like, meh, whats the point of healing us. Lel. Anyways, your technique is good. 1 near tank 1 far from boss/monsters. I’ll remember this if ever i made a cleric.

Sorry my one of my question is…

If it is possible to change the UI… in order to see the buff, etc… atm I only can see their HP and MANA.

I find linker to be a strange class it requires the group to be close together other wise links brake. All bosses use heavy AOE and knock backs thus making the group split up and braking the links within a few seconds if people don’t know how linker works. (90% of players)…

You can see party buffs when your in a private group, if you use LFG finder then you can’t see buffs.

Is it possible to change to private group when I used LFG tool?

How do you work as a support? Well, pray to every god you believe in and hope that it’s over fast bc no1 is going to know what your skills do and will probably run allover your heal tiles at 90%HP before complaining that you’re not healing them.
And yeah I think the buffs thing are just bugged.

this needs to be fixed.

Aside, I usually find nice groups, but from time to time there are the crazy guys that, well… screw the entire party.
Those crazy tanks that run after many mobs to lure them but forget that the first monsters then aggro into the backline. Or the DPS who gets oneshotted. That guy that don’t turn knockback attribute off. Etc…

Just throw out double heal tiles everytime it goes off cooldown. Leave it to your party to run over them when low (don’t even bother trying to land them on top off someonek). Make sure you learn the attribute that removes damage from them. Just refresh buffs when your own timers are about to expire. You might miss a few teammates, but it’s better with 100% buff uptime on 3 people compared to 50% buff uptime on 5 people.

Yeah I alway set at far, for range attker n self lol

Becos set near to mob/boss, once the tanker lost 1 hp, then 1 tile is wasted. (healed 1hp)

Smart tanker lack for hp will run to far heal tiles XD
sounds like you’re one of those who stay really far from boss. Because of this you get to miss a lot of buffs and priest3 have a headache with these people.

Priest3 need people to stay grouped because heal tiles are only for emergency. Our mass heal is more effective than heal tiles.

When you get to smarter parties, noone runs away a screen away from the boss with a good priest. Everyone will stay behind the boss leaving one guy facing it, and the priest will be at the side healing and buffing with optimal party placement.
Later on, the heal tiles cd of cleric2 cannot keep up with the mob killing speed and a lot of heal tiles get wasted.
Especially in the lv130/145 i see the whole party never taking the heal tiles because they treat it as emergency only, like when hp goes down below 40%.
Mobility becomes important and tanking too. If the tanker and party run all over the place for heal tiles (e.g. prev heal spot because your heal is on cd) the mobs gonna go all over the place and the party is gonna run around trying to catch the mobs.
Same reason with safety zone. The only reason my party go into my safety zone is if they have <40% health and my heal is on cd. No one’s gonna leave a horde of mobs just to stay in safety zone. Tankers will stay in one place and ranged will stay a bit far, so they won’t share safety zone.
If you have a good priest2/3 in your party don’t run like headless chicken and stay in one place so he can mass heal you while dps is busy whacking.

This is how I play as a sole cleric better as a priest3 in those dungeons. Partied with many cleric2 and some cleric2/priest2 and they rely a lot on heal tiles but the parties can’t divide attention to heal tiles when they’re surrounded by 20 mobs (literally, with the swordsman’s pull) so get the timing of mass heal right.

Lv50 dungeon is only an introduction to dungeons. Lv115 dungeon is when your worth as a cleric is started getting tested.

I’m a full support and its only chaos when people dont know how to play.
The tanks and DPS need to know how to position themself. This will make it easier to support and in turn also easier to DPS and tank.

Best description of classic 1st time dungeoning. Hahaha.

On a serious note:

 1. In the party UI overlay, you should be able to see the small icons/circles that represent the buffs/status of each party member. Be sure to be near enough the party when using party buffs so all, if not most, party members get them as well.

 2. If it’s everyone’s first time (especially w/ those who haven’t played in the CBTs), this is expected. It’s always best to let people know beforehand about what you do, what you need them to do, and what they shouldn’t. Communication is key in any dungeon party, and develop synergy with your tanker and the crowd control guy.

 3. You mainly support the tank. If the tank dies (and unless you have an off-tank member to temporarily take his place while you revive the tank), it’s GG unless boss can easily be kited/killed. You make sure there’s always available and ready “heal cells” for the tank and buffs as well. If any other members are at most 1/2 on hp, drop some heal on them as well BUT NOT NEAR/IN THE BOSS/MOB. Some people though are still stupid enough to dive into the tanker’s location for the heal cells and die in the process (worst, causing the tanker to die as well).

Enjoy the game and thanks for playing support! Always welcome to have them in any party.
I think that’s the issue, they’re not appearing for party search.

Here’s an example of a lv145 dungeon run where the party is not reliant on heal tiles.
It was my 2nd run (and my 1st fast paced run) and I was still learning how to use my monk skills for crowd control, so unfortunately I had few emergency moments, but all the Revive were still working.
Got a much easier time as I got more practice now, can support solo even for runs faster than this.
But yeah, as you can see, they move fast.

Each dungeon and each party is different. As clerics we have to learn to adapt as support characters. If you party with idiots, just don’t bother with them.

Im a support and i love chaos (and idiots). Messy fights are where we shine.
When everyone is near death and you cast revive. Watch them running in circle and suddenly realize they can’t die. Mass Heal and everyone is full HP again. Best troll ever.

you can see it by their names, but usually when yours is over, their’s too

just drop the heal tiles and you’ve done your job… rebuffs and put protection zone on the tank. and that’s it…

About buffs: it shows then sometimes but not others. It’s kinda buggy. Just make sure you’re pretty close to the people that need the buff before you cast it.

Get remove heal damage. If you’re the only cleric in the dungeon you should 100% turn it on. (And tbh if you’re not an INT cleric you might as well always have it turned on).

If there’s someone with lowish health and there are no heal tiles, drop a heal. Don’t bother to actually drop heals on people unless they are on the verge of death. If someone dies and there are heal tiles somewhere then that’s their fault.

Once you get more comfortable healing, you can do some pretty clutch heals and save people that are basically trying to get themselves killed. But honestly, that’s not your job.

it’s the first instance dungeon of the game, a lot of people still no idea how to coordinate with the healer and stuff it kinda gets better in higher level dungeons

c’mon! that’s why being a support char is fun, instead of dealing with an AI that will do the same thing over and over, you have to deal with dumb players who can’t even stand in their feet without your help!
