Hello, forum! So, I’m coming in and thought it would be good to have my character be a somewhat tanky Doppelsoeldner, since not only that would give me some tank utility in parties but also would mix well with Doppel’s renowned crazy AOE damage on Cyclone!
But then again, I thought, a good economical base helps any player and I always liked rolling dungeons and looking for the loot, so that also factored in my decision for Doppel - that Double-Pay Earn mixed with Corsair’s Jolly Roger looks mighty profitable!
The build is pretty strictly PvE, I say!
So, here’s the skill build I intend to use!
And the stat build is:
Every 10 points:
Str: 4. Con: 3. Dex: 1. Spr. 2
Strength gets the damage going, Con makes the character beefy enough for mobbing and tanking, Spirit helps protect against magic attacks and gives some SP to spam skills to boot, and 1 Dex helps him not to be blind!
As for the skills…
Bash is ranked 3 for the Knockback, as otherwise the build is very damage-packed and Bash will fall off quickly.
Concentrate and Gung Ho are damage buffs, the more the merrier!
Pain Barrier at 2 because Thrust is pretty useless in the grand scheme and being able to ignore lockdown can be a real lifesaver.
Peltasta in general is good for the extra skill to block!
Swashbuckling is there for that taunt.
Umbo Blow pushes things away.
And I think that Guardian might be good when I need some defense though I’m not sure this will ever come in handy…
Helm Chopper and Seism stun things (helpful crowd control)…
And Cleave picks off stunned things very well!
Warcry and Frenzy help me deal more damage, pretty direct~~
Jolly Roger increases my gold income…
Dust Devil is another useful tool for controlling all the mobs I raise…
Iron Hook and Keel Hauler are there because they’re better than Unlock Chest anyway!
Double-Pay Earn is 40% the point of me picking Doppelsoeldner, because I want to make lots of money and loot! Thus, it’s maxed~~
Cyclone is another 40% of the point of Doppelsoeldner in the build, for its fast, large AoE damage is amazing on most swordie builds, especially a mobbing one!
And Deeds of Valor is maxed there to help me do tons of damage!
So, do you think this is a good damage-tank, money-making, monster-mobbing build for a Doppelsoeldner?
What would you change, if not so?
