Battle League and Zoomy addon

I have noticed that some players are able to tell what the enemy team comp is before the match starts. I have also been constantly throw by cc and spell when I can see no enemy player in my screen.

Is it because of the use of the addon Zoomy? Have IMC made the offical list of allowed addon yet? It seems that this addon is giving a fair advantage to the people that are using it

This is why we can’t have nice things!

If that is true, the addon has to be moved to the bannable list. The addon has become more of an exploit now.

i dont use it, but i’d be fine with it if they just changed so you can zoom in more, but not out.
Since alot of people use it for closeup screenshots of their characters.

But i agree, if the addon remains unchanged, it should be banned

Or disable the addon automatically when one is about to enter pvp/team league.

I haven’t thought of using the add-on in such a way like OP said.
Apparently I’m using the add-on for close-up SS and to see better glimpse of my character’s physical details.

I do agree that zoomy addon shouldn’t be allowed. It’s very hard to stop it though.

The official statement was that all addons are allowed and that any addon they decide to ban will be announced in advance so that players have a grace period to stop using it without getting punished.

I don’t really see how it’s an unfair advantage at all. Everyone knows about addons, everyone knows about zoomy, and nothing is stopping anyone else from using it. Something can not be “unfair” when everyone can use it.

Anyway ktos players have been using it for months so don’t get your hopes up.

Everyone is doing it! That means it is OK!

This is what you sound like.

Just because everyone can get it, does not make it OK.

You’re attacking me instead of explaining why it’s not ok? That’s not a very constructive response. Respond to the points made instead of attacking the posters.

If you can see the other team’s comp, than it is boringly obvious why it isn’t OK. I am attacking your abysmal logic, not you personally.

People who don’t use it are at a clear disadvantage, and it is not in the game normally.

While I don’t agree with Zoomy, of mention is that friends from outside the match can also tell you match-ups if your fight appears in the spectator list.

Though that can be prevented by just not allowing spectate (match not showing on list) until the initial time buffer elapses.

afaik zoomy won’t render characters (and mobs) outside original screen. idk might extend abit (never test properly) but definitely not 100% outside original screen is rendered (tried when taking landscape screenies)

tested it: Battle League and Zoomy addon

Zoomy allows you to see the entire map and enemy team if you zoom out enough. This gives the person a huge advantage in TBL.

The Addon can deffinetely let you see the other party before the match starts.

This game is so broken.

If the add-on does that it should be moved to the bannable add-on list. It just gives too many advantages to those who use it.

Like monk knowing where to aim their energy blast to hit players. Or musketeers sniping an area where they know the player is running to.

No it’s not boringly obvious.

The addon is legal. There is nothing stopping you from using the addon. Therefore it is fair.

If you choose not to use it and it is legal, it isn’t anyone else’s fault that you choose to give them an advantage.

My logic is perfectly fine. What you’re doing is trying to get something banned that you don’t want to use because other people using it get an advantage. It isn’t their fault that you don’t want to use it. It’s your fault.

Stop insulting me in all your posts. It doesn’t add to your points and only deteriorates discussion rapidly. Have a mature discussion and allow people to disagree with you, people are allowed to have different opinions.

There is something called “leveling the playing field”. Just because something exist and can be installed doesn’t make it legal in terms of arena play, where fair play is encouraged.

Like Zoomy allowing you to see more on screen in the same way that getting a higher resolution monitor allows you to see more on screen. Levelling the playing field.
