Seeā¦ hereās the problem that everyone forgets. Addons that are public are easily identifiable and, sure, can be added to a ban list etc etc etc.
But private addons, the ones they can make for themselves or for friends/guildmates onlyā¦ how would anyone in this thread even know those exist? So letās say they ban Zoomyā¦ wonāt the actual exploiters still find a way to exploit? Why ban an addon with utility for the only reason itās being used at the moment in PvP?
Banning that addon will only cause a private addon to be created and distributed within tight circles (or kept for only the creators). And then, going forward, instead of being able to ban those new users IMC will have to sift and dig through countless quasi reports of āI think so and so may be using a zoom addonā¦ butā¦ idk because Zoomy was already banned, but, this user looked like they knew I was thereā derp derp stuff for months, trying to pin-down a handful of users.
Banning the addon, which is perfectly innocent in PvE, is not the answer. Rather they should code some form of fixed camera server-side into the arenas. Which is so simple that it could be a viable solution we may see in our lifetimes because it would take very little coding to complete. Hell it could probably be a copy pasta code from 1 of the 100ās of quests they have with static zooms.

Iāve actually done a few reports regarding the zoomy add-on in the past, most specifically during the release of guild wars and the time when cxanywhere was still a thing (asking for a list of legitimate add-ons).
Well atleast now itās going to get the attention it deserves, hopefully IMC does something about it (and please donāt be another instant ban with no warnings).
They canāt even Snipe inside the normal view range, cause broken game UI bugs mouse targeting.
Like Sorc summons, and Necro summons, and Diev summons, and every freaking companion/pet of allies.

i just have one thing to say for zoomy haters, you can still zoom out by editing the xml file, zoomy is not a problem

stop justifying zoomy on battle arena. its bad and spoils the pvp gameplay. zoomy on pve is fine, but you should not defend it on pvp because it clearly breaks the way the devs designed the pvp scene.
i have watched a guild battle and i have to say. it looks fvcking stupid. they just rushed to the enemy tower because they already know where it is. sneaking without invi is non viable because you can see them with zoomy. again. zoomy in arena and guild battle is bad. dont defend it cause its bs.

So they designed the pvp scene with the intention of preventing you from using skills on the left side of your screen because your party UI frame is there, thatās what youāre saying?

IMC should make the game crash if players are using some addons except exp viewer, monster frame and better quest LoL
yes. Mouse mode is buggy. Hard to aim on riding classes 
Yep. Simple solution would just be adding static zoom to all PvP and GvG arenas.

While I agree it shouldnāt be allowed in Arena, Iām not sure why people keep calling it a hack. It changes the Config File, which, you can do yourself without using this āAdd-on.ā Zoomy is a wonderful Add-On that makes ToS slightly more playable. (Bugs aside) On a side note; there are more add-ons out there that do the same thing as Zoomy. So yes, Ban Zoomy and people will just use one of the other ones or change the file themselves.

just disable the add on when entering tbl.bet people saying that its fine blah blah didnt even entered arena lol.or just ban those add ons coz its been causing alot of problems lately.i never use add on or planning to use one coz im enjoying the game what it isā¦
This just will cause that a player (or maybe a player by team) will be able to move and atk, cause cutscene party bug
