Introduction to classes

Before u start playing ToS you should pick a class that u like and research on it or u will fail miserably and will have to make new character and lvl up from the start.

TREE OF SAVIOR has 4 Base class
Archer , Swordsman , Cleric & Wizard
you are suppose to choose one of them as a starter
as u progress in-game u can change Class. there are tons of Subclass

Class System & Rank System
Alright Now u have chosen ur basic class and ur lvling up. there will be a point in game when ur Class Level Will stop Increase and will be stuck at lvl 15 thats the point where u will choose ur subclass.
YOU CAN SEE UR CLASS LEVEL DOWN UNDER UR SKILL TAB

For Every 15 class lvl u get a rank up and u get to either choose a new subclass or Take ur current class to next Circle.

(NOTE: Once u have Upgraded ur circle or Choosed a new Subclass ur Class lvl will be back to 1 and when ur lvl 15 again u can choose a new subclass or increase circle )

What Happens when you upgrade ur class circle?
You Get Extra Skill on that class.
You can check out Class Skills and Create your own Build HERE

There are Certain Class That are only Available On certain Ranks you can check that on the Link Above.

Alright So i suppose we’r Done with the class System if i’m missing something or u have some kind of Question Just Leave a comment

BASICS

okay now ur ingame and u r done choosing ur class and ur build. but there are alot of things u need to know . i see alot of new players asking for basic info u learn while questing and that shows that alot of u guys done read nothing just skip . even i do that xD anyways i made a map with complete description of What a npc does and where is it Located (Klaipeda Town)
Just remember the symbols of the npc.

TIPS and Tricks:
Tips :

  1. Always Store your gem in storage cause if u have it in ur inventory when u die u will loose em .
  2. Save Level 3 Exp Cards. Save them for the time when u cannot grind for next few levels u can simply skip those level
  3. Always Kill monster that are in range of 5 lvl from ur lvl if u kill a monster that has like 5+ lvl higher then yours u will get exp penalty and get less exp.
  4. Always Explore Map 100% U will get 3 additional EXP card just by doing that ( Thanks to @scully_brian_d for reminding me this point )

You Can See your Exploration Progress On top Of the Map by Pressing M

  1. If you have extra time do repeatable quest all 5 times on doing it 5th time you get some bonus EXP ( Thanks to @ryokotenchi for this point )

  2. Alot of People Dont Know this But if u Use Party Que to enter a dungeon you get 600% Extra Exp (My Friend Craig Charles told me so )

This is how you use Party Finder

Ticks : I dont have any i’m still a newbie.

SKILL BUILD AND STATS
You Can get Awesome skill build for your class Created by other people HERE

BEWARE SOME BUILDS THERE ARE AWFUL (As @ellstorey85 said)

STATS
Every Stat has Different effect on your character . Just drag your mouse pointer on the Stat in game and It will show u what effect it has and increase stats accordingly .
Physical Damage is Based On STR ,even For Archers STR is needed
Magical Damage is Based on INT (Just Like Ragnarok ).
Con Gives you HP and HP regen (Like ViT in Ragnarok)
SPR Gives you SP and SP Regen ( other half effect of INT from RO)
DEX Gives u Accuracy & Crit chance ( LuK from ragnarok).

Alright so we’r done with Stats and skills lets move on to World Boss.

WORLD BOSS

What is world boss ?
if you are familiar with Ragnarok Online you can also call world boss a MVP.
Basically its a boss monster that has rare spawn rate and is really hard to kill but killing him/her is really rewarding.

Unlike Ragnarok Online . Everyone who deals damage gets a reward box and its completely on your Luck what u get from the Box.

In the image below you can see ppl hunting world boss.

As we’r done with world boss lets move on to leveling guide

LEVELING GUIDE

===============(OSCAR SPEECH)===================
Before i Start this i would like to thank Stormkov for his awesome guide and the content here is mostly from his guide but there are some additional stuff i added also i would like to thank Craig Charles for guiding me  .

==(Leveling Guide For People who Prefer following Quests)====
====(Thanks To @Daedan @arkos84 & @thailehuy)=====

Alright You can also level up by following Quest Lines .
a simple way to do that is Do all the quests Available on the Map

HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT QUESTS ARE AVAILABLE ?

Open your Map by pressing “M” on your Keyboard
and look for this symbol on the map

Just walk to that symbol there u will find a npc talk to him/her if u havent done his/her quest u will get Quest and u can do it

If ur done with talking to all the npcs on the map and they wont give u anymore quests move to the new map .

I Have Reached to a point where quest mobs and monsters are Higher lvl compared to me

Go To the Item Merchant Buy The city scroll of the city that u din start in (For Example :- i started in klaipeda so ill buy Orsha warp Scroll vice versa )
and do all the quests there

Dont forget to Explore MAPS 100% u get x3 EXP CARD

Also if u get stuck at Some Point You can Always Look at

Stormkov’s Leveling Guide Here

======(Leveling Guide for Newbies Grinding)=============

For Level 1 - 30 :
Do all the Quests and Consume all the EXP cards u get except lvl3 exp cards you will need em.

Now You are lvl 30 Just Do all the quests in Tanet Garden and to then Grind with a party at The Place shown in map Below till you are lvl 40.

Where Can i FIND PARTY?
Either shout in world chat or go to the Grinding Place and ask ppl if they have slot if they dont have slot just change channel and ask others.

Grinding Spot for 30-40 lvl

Sorry Couldnt Find a map for tanet Garden xD ill update as soon as server’s are up.

Now you are lvl 40 Just do some quests in Tanet Church and get to lvl 43
and Go Grind in This Place

You Can Grind in Tanet Church 1f till 40 -43 lvl by killing Corylus.

Anyways After you are done and u are lvl 43 go to this place with a party of 5 ppl . and grind till 56 lvl

DONT WORRY 43- 56 will be Fast cause of the EXP RESET on 46 level you will get EXP like ur a LVL 1 player

(NOTE: YOU CAN GO TO LVL 50 dungeon right after your lvl 50 It gives huge amount of EXP - thanks to @hallowedthings for adding this point)

Now You are lvl 56 just go do quests and Grind in Dungeons till Level 65

You can Find Dungeon Teleporter in Tanet garden
(Note : Dont Try to solo dungeon That will waste your dungeon entry . you can only enter a dungeon twice a day + 1 if you have Premium token activated )

Dungeon Teleporter:

Okay now you are level 65 this is the point where u will use up some of the lvl 3 exp cards you have been saving .
Use EXP Cards till you get level 73 it will Take around 200x lvl 3 exp cards to lvl up from lvl 65-73

Now you are level 72 Just go to Royal Mausoleum Constructor’s Chapel and go to the Place Given Below .

in Every 3-4 Second New Stack of mob will spawn until the event in that channel ends. after that switch to next Channel same place and continue the event. This wont be Easy but u will Have to grind here from 72-84.
There will be alot of parties overthere . if u dont Find people at that spot its probably that event in that Channel has ended so switch channel and Look for a party to join.

THIS IS HOW PEOPLE GRIND THERE

==================[[[ For Level 80 - 90 ]]=================

Alright Now your through your hard time and you are finally level 83/84 . if u continue Grinding at the same place it will take u some time to Reach 86 so now you have 3 Options Either u stay There and KEEP GRINDING
or Use up all your Remaining EXP cards and try to reach to level 86
or u can also go back and start following the quest.

Its completly up to you what you are gonna do to reach level 86.
and once you reach Level 86 use 10 -11 of your Level 4 Exp cards and BAM you are level 90 NOW!

(NOTE: Level 86 has Experiance Reset Just like level 46 . at this point you start getting High EXP till a certain level )

==================Level 90 -100======================

Now You are level 90 and you dont know what to do where to level up.
Just go to the Map : Zachariel Crossroads you will find Party for lvl 90 dungeon there . just grind in the dungeon and follow quests till level 100 (90- 100 is really easy)

Another thing about that place is when u worship the statue u get a stat point so please do it

The Image Below shows the place where you can find lvl 90 dungeon Party

:grinning:

Will add new things to guide as i progress ingame

Guide For 100+ COMING SOON

HAPPY LEVELING

TOOK ME 3 Days to get Level 75 (NOT ALL DAY GAMING)

Save exp cards as much as possible
look up online on exp curves.
have the map monster 5 levels above you, no more.
do orsha and klaipeda quests alternatively, dont worry about warp costs.
remember, keep grinding at an absolute minimum, always quest first

If Possible can you please share the grinding spots. Btw m kind of person who grinds till i get to max lvl xD i also do quest but for me Grinding > Quests .

Something to add, it’s in your best interests to explore a map entirely before leaving it. Talk to every NPC multiple times to ensure you’ve gotten every quest from them before moving on.

From levels 1-60 the game has a pretty linear map progression, you just keep going to next linked map, but soon after the maps become spread out all over the place. Use the map on http://www.tosbase.com/ to find maps in your level range.

I said map a total of seven times in this post, including this line. Yeesh.

also if you have time and have not out leveled a map always do the repeatable quests all 5 times. since the 5th time usually gives a nice extra bonus.

Or you can just quest until 145, while doing dungeons at their level, and grind Demon District 2 (upwards of 2m xp per hour with a good party) for a while because it’s hella good exp and then continue questing until 200…

Really not sure why people are grinding beforehand since it’s not really necessary.

Be careful using that for builds. Some of them are awful builds. Some are decent but some are straight up terrible.

I agree. To top if off you get achievements for exploring areas and doing subquests.

@Daedan in my case m grinding cause when i do quests i save the exp cards so the main source of experience is not used all u get is little amount of exp that npc gives u . u can walk all over the map and get lil amount of exp or u can just stay at a single point and Grind and get alot of exp so i went with second option xD

i do quests when i dont find grinding parties lel xD

Shhhh!!! Let them be, less ks’ing while I do quest.

People are having paranoia about eating exp cards lol

Agreed Daedan.

I dont know why people say you have to grind all the time.

I made a new chara and just did all the side quests, repeatable quests, got my 100% map explore, and followed the main story. I was constantly 10 levels ahead of the content this way. You do not need to grind if you do the side quests and explore the map then talk to the Wings girl in town. Use your exp tickets she gives and bam, you stay ahead of the game.

Nice guide otherwise, but again, i wouldnt tell new people they have to grind because a lot of people frown upon grinding and its just not nessicary if you just do the content. Follow this map and you will never have to grind if you do all the zones.

There u go Guys Questing Lvl up Section added . Sorry but m not very experienced
just made this guide to help ppl like me who have no idea what to do after they get into the game.
Will Add more content to the Guide as i gain Experience .

Just to add to your level up guide, NPCs wont show up on the map until you talk to them once, so you should look out for people with green names and talk to them to see if they have quests. And some quests are repeatable a certain number of times, and will give you a big reward for doing it the max number of times. And when you goto your map with M, at the top middle it will say how much perfecnt of the map you have explored, so once it is 100% you can get a reward in town at the Feather Icon on the map.

And also, if you consider yourself not very experienced, when why are you making a guide? haha

because there wasnt any good guide that explained Everything and as a newbie when i start playing a game first thing i do is look for a guide so i made this guide to share the experianced i’ve gained until now

I didn’t read through the guide but it seems like some effort was put in creating it. Would be nice if this thread was in [General Gameplay] (https://forum.treeofsavior.com/c/general-gameplay-discussions/game-tip-and-strategies) section instead of General Discussion. It will get buried among the spam here and the effort will go to waste.

That’s also the place where other guides are by the way :relaxed:

For Some Reason i couldn’t create a topic in game play section so had do to it here lel

can any 1 from the staff move this please?

Nice guide  I’d change one thing though – don’t grind from 50. Go straight to a dungeon the moment you can do it. The EXP is insane, and you’ll fly up in levels from killing mobs, though you’ll need to be careful as you can die if you pull too many mobs at once (also dungeon mobs have a lot of HP). Only start grinding/questing after you’ve done your runs.

Same for level 90. Make sure to milk your dungeon runs first ^^

Wooow so nice, thanks a lot :heart_decoration:
