Barbarian vs Corsair?

So, Barb3>Fen2 or Barb2>Cor2>Fen.
That’s basically what’s this is all about, but not quite.
I’m actually seeking answers for some doubts and some real cool stuff that no one seemed to have tried.

First:
Getting 10 on Seism, Frenzy and Warcry and getting Pouncing is better than having Hexen and 10 Dust Devil?

Second:
How useful is Hook and Keel Hauling? Considering GvG, PvP, PvE, etc

Third:
Jolly Roger works after the char stops being a Corsair? Is it worth for a mainly solo player?

Fourth:
I’ve heard that 5 Frenzy (in a C2 scenario) is not worth, but 10 Frenzy (C3) is actually very good, specially because of the attribute - I also heard the opposite! It’s worthless even with it.

Fifth:
The damage boost of going Fencer 2 over Fencer 1 makes up for any eventual “Corsair2 better than Barbarian3” scenario? I mean, even if Corsair2 proves to be a million times better than Barbarian3, will getting another rank of Fencer outbenefit the Corsair path?

Sixth:
This is my “special question”.
I’m thinking on using Cafrisun up to 280 (enhanced, of course) for that second attack line. Why? Well, I’m betting that Corsair’s “Double Weapon Assault” will actually create 4 attack channels, but I haven’t seen anything regarding that. Is it good? Is it fast? Does it even work and create 4? The DPS would be meaningless? Cafrisun, even +15, is unbearable in late game?

Thank you very much guys!

I can’t answer this as I never got past Barb2. Dust Devil does low damage though. [quote=“Palazzo, post:1, topic:314301”]

Never tried GvG. In PvP, it’s awesome if you land it. Couple it with burst damage (as Hexen Dropper’s) and you can almost 100-0 if they are in melee range. In PvE, it’s useful only to keep mobs immobilized so you get a few hits for free. Nothing really special.

Yes, just like any skill from previous classes.

I don’t know the answer to this.[quote=“Palazzo, post:1, topic:314301”]

Curious about this one. From what I’ve read, Hexen wins in burst damage. In more prolonged fights, Composee wins due to 0cd. But you should wait until Fencer experts answer this one.

I don’t believe you’d be able to wear Cafrisun up to 280. I’m at lvl 183 and it still works well (entire set at +0) but I see its end once I get Fencer at rank 7. Fencer doesn’t require many auto attacks so Cafrisun becomes less needed. Actual defense (evasion, mdef, hp, etc.) will be much more valuable.

DWA ignores main hand weapon so it has a low(ish) damage output. It’s NOT as good as it sounds. If you go Fencer, you don’t want to use it since it breaks weapons very fast and rapiers have low durability. You could keep a sword just for DWA though. Right now (Corsair 2), I only use it against many pierce vulnerable mobs.

As you level up, you encounter mobs with high HP. They become more common as you progress in the game and AA isn’t good. You need to use skills to kill them fast. Cafrisun won’t help much in this case. But, as I said, I’m killing Black Coliflies (41k HP) with Cafrisun set and Velniup + Arde Dagger. It’d be easier if I had Magas Sword/Catacombs Blade + karacha Dagger. I’ve tried Rokas leather + Vubbe Gauntlets but DPS was about the same using skills and lower when AAing, so I decided to stick with Cafrisun for a little longer.

I couldn’t help much but I hope I did help in any case.

Thank you.
So, at least does it lands 4 attacks with Cafrisun?
I’m planning on doing 2 Swords: One going trough the “Sword path”, picking up Barbarian and Fencer (possibly Corsair, depending on what people say) and another one for the “Spear path”, with Hoplite.

The one going trough the Spear path would be more AA focused, so picking up Corsair if Cafrisun gives 4 attacks is a must.

Now, my reasons to have this AA build included in the Sword path one would be that I read many times how much Fencer is a SP consuming class, and some AA would be welcomed, just like picking Peltasta helps in some all-around defensive measures.

The thing is: Is it worth it?

This is really bugging me, as I’m a Barb2 closing to advencement.

I’m not sure about attack lines. On the SP subject, you can use SP potions. Once you get to higher levels, they’ll be inexpensive. I believe I paid 780 silvers for each lv10 Condensed SP pot.

Spear path usually lead to Shinobi/Doppel.
