Yeah, but I wouldn’t recommend just doing c1 Barbarian. Better for you to do c2/c3 Barb.

If you want to be a straight up DPS then choose a Barbarian but if you want to be more useful to your party as an off-tank I would choose Highlander.
Highlander has armor break and bleed. They’re better suited for parties and have more utility.
Barbarian on the other hand, is straight up DPS and damage. I’m a Barbarian c3 / Doppelsoeldner if you want my first hand experience.
It can be a powerful class, but when you’re a swordsman competing DPS with Wizard and Archer, it’s better to just be a tank imo.

I feel like Varuna is goign to give you as good as an answer you’re going to get. Because he/she not only has experience and tried out things, it just does not seem like this is the type of game where you get to experiment or play around so much. but in general it never seens like an amazing idea to go “c1” in anything save Peltista. While you dont need to go full out tank at any point in the game, at least c1 to that is required. and the only other class i would say you can get away wiith only C2ing that isnt a rank 6 or higher class , is Corsair.
that siad i believe its not a good idea to merely c2 highlander or c1 barb.
