i try to back up game files and it failed, then it asked me to update the game (which is 7.3 GB in size --> full game download)
i need to make that backup i have 3 brothers and we want to play it

I feel sorry for your loss m8 but using steam backup for games that use launchers will delete your game files and you will have to download it again D:
The only way to migrate these types of games is to copy Tree of Savior’s game folder as well as the app_#####.manifest file that points to the game.
These manifest files are just outside steamapps or just inside steamapps, can’t quite remember but if you have a bunch of games, there should be many manifest files in there.
Go ahead and open each with notepad so you can see which game a manifest points at. Make sure it has “Tree of Savior” written somewhere in it.
After copying all of those, make sure to install and start downloading tree of savior on the new system, at around 100 MB of download, pause the download and exit steam. By this phase, just override the game folder and app manifest.
