Awful Performance - What to do?

Hello, fellow players.

Since I started playing, I’ve been having an outstandingly awful performance, althought my machine meets the requirements to play the game and I already lowered all graphical settings to the minimum.

I would like to ask for some assistance. The performance isn’t just bad - it’s game breaking. Details below:

My PC:
-12 Giga Ram
-Geforce GTX 560m video card
-All drivers updated
-DirectX 11

Game settings:
-Low end mode on
-All effects disabled (antialiasing, bloom, etc)
-Screen resolution halved

NVIDIA settings:
-All antiasing disabled
-Textures set to the worst resolution
-High performance settings on
-Low quality settings on

Results:
-FPS stays between 0.5 and 5, with an ocasional spike of 10~20
-Horribly slow loading screens (5 to 10 MINUTES to enter a new map)
-Game crashes to desktop constantly

This has gone beyond anything I’ve seen before. I never had such a bad performance in this PC, in any game I played. Tree of Savior simply isn’t playable in this conditions. My PC isn’t bad and runs a lot of graphic-heavier games than this one.

I’ve been researching for methods to solve this problem since I bought the game, but had no success yet. If anyone has any hint or suggestions, please share your knowledge with me, since I’m stuck until I fix this problem.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

I’d recommend checking your performance after the Emergency maintenance, myself and others have had various performance problems similar to yours that could be connected with the server stress since launch.

Thank for your reply. It indeed got better after the last update. Now I am able to play as long as I stay out of crowded areas.

I am suspecting, however, that the game settings are overriding my NVIDIA settings. Perhaps if we find a way to override the game settings we can actually lower the graphical quality and increase a few FPS.

I have the same problem as you and suspect the same. I can barely realize any difference in quality after lowering all graphic settings to minimum plus following all the tips I’ve found here in the forum and elsewhere. I have even overclocked my graphic card (Nvidia 840m) and solved an issue concerning instability though the BIOS. No can do. Frustrating.

you should check your pc… the game is running fine. but has some problems.

Uncheck the “Shout On Top” option on chat settings. Press Enter in game > find the gear icon on chat > uncheck. You can also try running the game through Nvidia software though I’m not sure if it’s possible since I’m using AMD.
