There was a larcge update on gems and enchantments on headgears now its time to enhance awakening stats too dont you think so?
That will be a lot of work imo, i agree with you tho.
But they have to balance it to scale with items levels, or you will see some uber Lv 1 gear, not to count that the price for the service would probably skyrocket due to that.
Awakening already scales with item quality, they would only have to adjust values.
No, that is the issue, imagine a Meteor Shield with +200 mdef? That is what i am saying, despite being scaled with quality, it also have to scale with ilevel or the required level, well the first is better, but with so many different ilvl in the same level req range, it is only to add more stuff to codding, so at least with the required level it would be fine.

So they could only get bigger numbers on low level orange items but even then the value would be held back by the lower stars.
What i am saying is, IF they ever rework on the awaken values to reflect in some higher level stuff, if it go by the actual state of the system, it might change some low level stuff into uber items, as i said about Meteor Shield above, that is why it should include the item level:
Level 1-15 the items at that level range would get values from:
white = 4 to 8
blue = 6 to 12
purple = 8 to 16
orange = 10 to 20
The values for these items would be close to the optimal for their levels.
At higher levels it would scale of course to a proper value.
I have an Arde Dagger that i awakened, it only gives 3 critical rate, heck 3 critical rate is even something at Lv 75 or even better at 160?
I get what your saying but i don’t see a issue with it even if meteor shield gets a decent enchant it would still get out dated by a purple shield at lvl 40 or 75. As the enchant values would be much higher. But meteor shield does have a really good effect built in for a lvl 1 item lol.
Yeah i know that, the issue is that the already non hard/fun state of the game would be even more boring, no one dying from mistakes, even in dungeons.
Thats pretty rare already, until the higher dungeons lol. But i do see what your getting at this game is already easy mode.
I’m still waiting for them to rework awakenings completely. I’d hoped the current iteration was just a placeholder.
Yea its not a great system. I would prefer something akin to enchanting in wow where you can pick what you want but it requires x mats.

I liked the original idea that every item would have a specific awakening bonus. If they really wanted to add RNG into the mix, they could’ve kept that but made it variable. Like, maybe Catacombs Blade has a +10-20% bonus damage against plate armor awakening.
They could keep the generic awakenings for white items, and slightly better versions for blue items. Specific awakenings with variable numbers for purple and orange, and awakened set bonuses for green.
