Auto dungeon queue, leeching because party doesn't want to boss rush

A person who queued up for the lvl 90 dungeon started standing around and leeching exp since we didn’t want to do a boss rush. As a result two members left the party as they didn’t want to assist him in any way(even though it would take one of their two daily runs).

When asked whether he was leeching,he instantly acknowledged it,but really didn’t care about it at all.

I know that guys, he is always doing the same.

Well, I think you could actually blame him if the premade party function did not logged you out a thousand times, until you give up and try your luck at the random queue.

This is more like IMC’s fault.

How does that justify anything? Even if he did have problems with entering a dungeon using a premade party,it doesn’t in any way justify griefing other players by leeching exp and not contributing to the run at all. Especially considering that its very unlikely that he is the only person having experienced issues like that (commandLoadFail ^^).

Wow. So it’s okay to be a turbodouche to people because the game is buggy?

No. No it is not OK. This is not IMC’s fault, this player is a jerk, plain and simple. If you queue to dungeon then do the dungeon, end of story.

Well, it’s true that he should’nt have done that, i’m just saying that is understandable, and banning him for that would be a little too much.

Actually i just pitied him, forget it.

And this is another argument, why this game WILL BE destroyed by community, not the devs…
12 years back in history, no one even thought about doing such a disgraceful things. And now what? People completely lost a sight of what an MMORPG should be. (Hint for those who still don’t understand: a great adventure with other ppl).
As I was saying during closed beta I will repeat it again: community WILL destroy this game, not devs.

It’s the dev’s responsibility for the people to have a great adventure, not the community itself.

Yeah, a community will eventually destroy itself if the dev leave it be, just like a country will eventually die if the government leave it be.

The game will not be “destroyed” by its community. It could become less reputable, but destroyed is a little harsh. I honestly think that a game is more likely to be forgotten then to be actually destroyed. The danger that faces most games is a shrinking player base compared to a toxic one (ex : MOBA’s). Ofcourse,a negative player base might repel some new players from joining, but I doubt it’ll make players actually avoid a game.

In general MMORPG’s have different impact on people depending on how they want to experience it. Some might be doing it for the actual role playing aspect of it by taking a class and enjoying the overall content of the game. Some might enjoy the social aspect of it and stay for that reason (maybe even socially roleplaying which is also quite common in MMORPG’s).

However,if your actions negatively impact the game experience of other players that are just experiencing the game in their own way, I’d argue that you should alter your way of playing the game. If the only way to properly enforce them following basic morals is by punishment then so be it.
