Auto-Attack Jack

Meet Auto-Attack Jack. He’s a Paladin. I was bored.

EDITED BUILD:

Poke things. You know you want to.

He loves having a Pyro/Chrono around with Enchant Fire and Quicken.

Now go forth, Jack, and poke.

paladin isnt exactly the best physical attack cleric though

Yep. Entertainment isn’t always the best source of knowledge either, but sometimes History channel needs love and funding.

Seems like a fun build
A perfect example of what it means to follow your heart!
Playing a game isn’t always having to follow stereotypes or best combinations just for the sake of it :+1:

I didnt see even one episode of the alien show, I guess its popular in the U.S. :eggplant:

Question: why Monstrance over Blessing?

Monstrance buff is only 20 seconds vs Blessing’s 45s (they also buffed the hit count to 10 per level now, same with the more hit count attribute to 10 per rank)
Also Blessing applies to extra hit from Sacrament and Enchant Fire (still cost 1 charge per swing)

And this is something I heard elsewhere so I can totally be wrong: Monstrance’s buff for allies is fixed (10 Dex + 30% of the ally’s Dex)

DEX > flat damage :hocho:

Well, if Monstrance is really 10 + 30% dex then you only need 1 point (the buff last 20s at all level anyway)?

For defense reduced on enemies? The bonus damage per level from Blessing is higher than that.

I’m running on the assumption that it will scale per level. Anything else would be silly, but you never know; game developers are silly people. If it doesn’t scale, Blessing is worth investing in too.

Just remember one important thing : Who cares ? :stuck_out_tongue:

If it’s fun, do it.

Well, even 1 point of Blessing with just the extra hits attribute is still 15 * 40 = 600 damage.

If you later on max the damage increase attribute too that’s 115 * 40 = up to 4600 damage for 1 skill point, PER PERSON.

And that’s without counting that it can do more with Sacrament.

You make a strong argument, sir! If we account for attributes, its damage buff is actually quite nice. I’ve switched it to a rank 3 Blessing, so the attribute Blessing: Enhance is available. This leaves Monstrance at 12/15, which is just fine. Thanks for the advice.

Why don’t you want to spare 1 point on resurrection? XD I’m aiming for something like you too btw… I’ll actually want to test it if Blessing or Monstrance is worth more for atk.

Did I hear Auto-Attack Cleric?
This is my version, will mot likely change Krivis for Priest/Paladin c2/3 but this cbt I’ll get to test more stuff this way.

@Ayalon Provide the option to resurrect? Yeah, that’d probably be the kind thing to do. :stuck_out_tongue: Honestly, this is not the build I am going for on my main. It is a fun concept I hope I have time to fiddle with eventually, but right now I am not too concerned with it. This build might gain a tonne of potential depending on whether later ranks provide ASPD buffs, and depending on whether new weapons introduce procs similar to what we had in RO (eg. Ifrit Rings, LOD card, etc.).

@tris_o Cool build! I like your take on it a lot. Krivis is a big help, allowing those extra buffs. Good call.

I see. I played a supportive Battle Priest in Ragnarok and I want something like that here too and I will main it so for me that lvl 1 res will be needed. XD

What I personally can’t decide if I need Stone Skin or not…maybe I would be better with higher level Aspersion too…because I don’t plan at the moment to put more than 1 point on that… XD If reset will be avaible in the beta I will test the hell out of my Priest.

I didn’t decide yet btw if I go for Paladin or Pardoner yet but that one depends on a lot of things.

lookt interesting lets see it ingame

I too mained a battle priest in RO, following my first love, the aspd paladin. I ran no strength on either one, and focused on vit and agi, with a touch of int. I remember my paladin hit 190 aspd, but I had to make due with 189 on my battle priest. It was unstoppable in pvp. The procs, man, the procs!
